Headed to Secret Receipe @ KT for a tea break and meet up session with the guys. We ordered the chocolate banana cake & marble cheesecake on that day. The taste is just as fine as any other Secret Recipe branches where else.

Supposedly to meet up Rui on the fifth day of CNY but he was not around and postponed to the following day. So coincidence that Wei Chien is back to KT so rui gathered the rest to meet up in the afternoon. Everyone is late and i was the earliest waiting for the guys to arrive. Basically when they said 3pm means 3.30pm at their timing.

Had lotsa catch up over the tea break. These guys are such adored. They keep asking me to lower down the expectation and worry for me. I am so honored to have friends like these. Such a rare case as guys usually don't ask such stuffs. I think i am like buddy to them.

Nice companion, nice chit chat and good exposure and understanding the circle of life. We talked many stuffs. We talked about stages of life and what are the things that we are going through now. All already grown ups and have their own family. All has their own thinking and mindsets. Things are ever changing.

Regardless the changes, family bonding remain unchanged forever. I'm glad my family practiced a good habit of having dinner together every weekend without fail. It just happened naturally that everyone is back from spore and we settled down together by evening time to dine in at home. Mum cooked and she has the best cooking skill ever. We always finished up all the dishes that she cooked because it is way to delicious to waste it.Hehe!

Old buddies via family members are close to heart :)

Sky Lantern aka Floating Lantern

On the fifth day of CNY, i drove back kt to meet up with pre-date with a fren. But in the end, i spent my whole day with my seniors. Haven't meet up with Ruinnie for quite sometime and glad to meet her during CNY. Thanks to my senior.

So off we went visiting Ruinie's house and Justin's house before we headed off for lunch at SDS cakeshop at KT.

Lunch at SDS wasn't that satisfying in terms of taste bud.

The presentation is decent but the foods are so-so only. It is still acceptable to fill up our stomach.

After the lunch, we went to Thien Hou Kon temple for praying and also to set off our sky lantern aka. floating lantern.

It is also known as Kongming Lantern which is an airborne paper lanterns. It is one of our tradition Asian cultures. It is made of oiled rice paper constructed with small candle or waxy flammable material to lit up the lantern.

My wishes for family members and loved ones.

Let it fly up to the sky and bring my wishes along.

Hopefully everything will turn up to be fine ahead. Thank god my lantern is able to fly up the sky after all the hurdles and obstacles during the lit up process.

Kah Kah Loke Restaurant

Gong Xi Fatt Choy!!

It's the fourth day of CNY and my friend came to my house for visiting. We had chit chat session and headed to Taman Sutera for dinner.

The restaurant Kah Kah Loke is famous with its' bitter gourd soup and deep fried pork.

So we decided to give it a try.

Kah Kah Loke Deep Fried Pork.

It is famous with its crispy outer and the meat is not too hard and chewy as well. However, it is a bit dried and it will be best to go with chilli sauce.

Kangkung Belacan.

It is best to go with white rice and you can taste the belacan with kangkung.

Prawn Omelette.

Just a simple dish but satisfying taste of omelette with the prawn.

Famous bitter gourd soup filled with slices of bitter gourds and sliced pork and pork liver.

You won't be able to taste the bitterness of the bitter gourd. For those who dislike bitter gourd just like my friend also find the soup is acceptable and tasty.

The services are very prompt. All the dishes came at the same time so that we can enjoy the dishes at one go. I find it reasonable price but today the price is slightly higher due to festive season (CNY). It seems like this is the perfect timing for restaurants to earn extra from here.

Our total dinner was RM53 with 3 glasses of homemade chrsysanthemun tea.

Mm...kinda pricey for us. Anyway, thanks to Justin for the treat :)

Hoe Kee Chicken Rice Ball

I had my company trip to Malacca mid of this month. We went to so called second famous chicken rice ball shop in Malacca. It is located far end of the Jonker Street. It is exposed to various media such as blogs, magazine and also TV.

There is always a queue in front of the shop waiting to be seated in to try the chicken rice balls. The shop is always flooded with tourists and we are one of them as well. This is my first time trying this shop's chicken rice ball.

This is how the chicken rice ball looks like. It is basically chicken rice cooked slightly longer and then molded into ping pong size. It has the same taste as normal chicken rice except that the texture is more soft and slimy. It should be served in hot serving but it is not. Thus, explains the satisfaction is not there. You can't really taste the fragrance of the chicken rice.

Some said five chicken rice ball equivalent of one plate of chicken rice. But i don't think the amount is equivalent as we ate more than five chicken rice ball.

Chicken rice ball must be served with steamed chicken. The chicken was served smooth and oily. However, the serving is cold and the taste is tasteless. I still prefer the first shop (Chung Wah) i ever tried when i went with my friends 1 year ago.

We ordered assam pedas fish and it taste not bad. The fish is tender and goes well with the assam pedas. It is spicy though. I mean spicy for me but my colleagues enjoyed it.

We also ordered cabbage to go with the rice. No much comment on the dish as it is just normal cooking style and the taste is acceptable.

Overall is ok but not up to my satisfaction level. We end up queuing at Chung Wah to tapao back to the bus and give everyone a try. My colleagues preferred Chung Wah rather than this. Chung Wah steamed chicken served hot and the texture is smoother and tasty. It goes well with their signature chicken rice ball.

However, if you guys prefer environment or atmosphere wise, Hoe Kee would be the better choice as it is air-conditioned and the space is much more spacious than Chung Wah. Both shops have their own crowd of customers. Fret not to miss out chicken rice ball as both shops are equally famous in Malacca.

But this is only my point of view in terms of the foods that i tasted.

Baby clothes are so colourful and cute in terms of the sizes. I always had hard time to figure out what to buy as so many choices around me.

However, Eleven2three Shop came cross into my mind whenever i want to purchase baby clothes. I purchased from this online shop several times for baby gifts. It ease my headache on where to buy suitable and presentable baby gifts.

I even got a nice box tied with the ribbon nicely to present it to my bestie when i requested for packaging services. It saves my trouble to think how to pack the gift. They provide the wrapping services as well.

Eleven2three also has another layer of wrapping to wrap the clothes nicely in order.

It is very nice presentation.

Got 2 shirts and a soft toy from them. Eleven2three will try to satisfy every customer's needs. Thus, you can always feel relieve to shop with them.

Came across this and decided to have it here in my blog corner. I was chatting away with a moody and emotional friend one night.i found this in one of quotes after that and send it to her the next day. It gives her a smile back to me :)

1:Think Less, Feel More

Frankly speaking, I always think a lot. I think how can i feel good?How can i be better?How can i grow my money? how this and that so often that and eventually make myself feeling bad in the end. I was too obsessed thinking of how this and that without conclusion and this caused troubled in the end :( I ought to learn not to think so much and feel what got within myself and make myself feel good. Sometimes ignorance is a bliss perhaps or even better cause you will feel better in person.

2: Frown Less, Smile More

Frowning is always a yes situation when it happens in work or something troubling you. I guess i frown a lot lately due to my current job. I need to learn to smile more instead. Smile is priceless but people tend to take it for granted. Smiling does provides certain extent of magic in life i would say. Smile makes people surrounding you to be happy and makes you to feel happy somehow. Don't you think so?

3:Talk Less, Listen More

Talking does need to pay so do listening. But talking gives you the tendency to create attention and being an attention seeker is very hard to sit down and be a listener. Talk less will have less offender and less conflicts and even less arguments. Conflicts and arguments will lead to unhappiness. So sometimes talk less doesn't mean that you are in disadvantage though. Listening requires a lots of patience within and i think i need more training in this part.

4:Judge Less, Accept More

People tend to judge among ourselves. However, familiar phrase will " Never judge a book by its cover". Judgement will leads to perceptions and unhappiness. You will judge by the person's appearance and the way they react or act not having to know the whole facts of the person. This is human being. Judging has always been part of our life. Accepting people for who they are and what they are ain't an easy task to be done. Why can the loved ones can accept one another because there is love within each other. But why can't we accept the weakness of other people then? Why can't we accept the way how our friend behave? Not everyone has a generous heart to accept how their friends, families, colleagues and strangers. The judging takes place when there is no room of acceptance of the behavior and unhappiness are then created. Accepting people for who they are makes everyone comfortable with one another and harmony grows within. Thus, happiness grows eventually. I always tell myself not to judge but somehow I admit i do judge people when I can't stand how they react. But then i will ask myself. "She is such behavior and always like that. Why you want to bother and insist of it?" Then this gives me a second thought and i should just learn to accept the way it is. Maybe not immediately but gradually.

5:Watch Less, Do More

When people start to watch, comments will come into picture. Then sometimes comments are quite hurtful and offensive. Thus, instead of watching, do more of what you need to do. Watching people argue over the matter does it benefits you? Why not just continue to do what you are doing and get back to your own business? This is not true in reality as curiosity kills and people tend to be quite over concern over arguments issues.

6:Complain Less, Appreciate More

Singaporean loves to complain which is very true.You can always see in news in singapore or stomp singapore. However, some complaints do benefits depending on situations. Complaints have become a habit though to certain people. Not everyone will learn how to appreciate things and people surrounding. Appreciation is hard to recognize and only started to cherish when things happen. Usually it will be too late by then.

7:Fear Less, Love More

I still learning to love myself better. I admit i have fearful within myself which also partly due to thinking some irrelevant issues. Fear of this or that will lead to unhappiness. Fear not being care by someone, fear of being lost and much more. Sometimes it's hard not to be fear as it just happen. Hard to describe the feeling of it but loving own self will be the best way to make yourself be happy.

7 steps of happiness and not easy to apply it in life though.

Nevertheless let it be a reminder on and off to step into happiness.

Honeymoon Dessert 满记甜品 @ Bugis

Honeymoon Dessert is a chain of dessert shop from HK. I tried it before during my trip to HK which is totally thumbs up. Since we are craving for desserts, so why not we give it a visit then.

We visited the Bugis branch.

There were queues when we got there and it was already 9pm ++. But the queue was fast and we managed to get seats within 15 minutes time.

Sister ordered Kiwi Iced- S$3.50

The combination of ice blended with fresh kiwi which produces the smoothie drink taste. There isn't strong taste of the kiwi though.

Mango Pomelo Sago -S$5.80

It is a well-known dessert where we can always find it in the list of the desserts shop menu. The mango taste was overripe that day. I still prefer the U-dessert version and in terms of portion, U-dessert provides a decent one.

Durian Pancake- S$4.50

This is a must order dessert if it happens in the dessert menu list. It's my favourite dessert. Too bad the taste was quite disappointing. Too much of cream and can't barely taste the durian. Picture also shows the cream is more than the durian. But the durian taste can be tasted when you sip it into the mouth but not enjoyable though.

Mango Pudding-S$3.70

Mango pudding which combines the mango fruit slices with the pudding. It comes with the condensed milk to enhance the overall taste. Nevertheless i would still prefer the original taste. I don't like the strong taste of the condensed milk all over the pudding. But my sisters enjoyed it. Individual preferences i would say.

Mango Sago-S$5.80

Half of a mango slice was cut and presented with the mango syrup and sago. But the mango was too ripe for us. The taste was sweet and delicious though.

Grass Jelly with Vanilla Ice-cream- S$4.80

This is something interesting as the combination turns out to be perfectly nice. The soft smooth grass jelly that goes with the icy vanilla ice-cream enhance the taste when you put it into your mouth. You can't taste the bitterness of grass jelly as it was covered u with the vanilla sauce.

Ended the post with my cousin.

Looking forward for more gathering then with more foodies and goodies to explore along the way. I would still prefer to have dessert back in JB as it provides valuable portion and satisfaction of taste. Honeymoon dessert was not bad as well as it's ambience and surroundings of the restaurant was pleasant. The services are prompt and good.

Brand new year with a kick off start of post birthday celebration for cousin's birthday, Carmen. She recommended this place for steamboat celebration. House of Steamboat aka 火锅之家 located at Bugis.

This steamboat place provides two areas of dining which is air-con area and non air-con area. We choose air-con area but then the air-con was not on until more people flocking into the shop.

There are different type of soup base for us to choose.

We ordered Mother Hen Chinese Herbal Soup and Fish Bone Chinese Herbal Soup on that day.We all can't take spicy stuffs so we go for the two choices.

Mantou with evaporated milk which deep fried on the outer and soft in the inner of the mantou. The evaporated milk enhance the sweetness of the mantou.

There are dory fish slices, mutton & beef slices, pork slices and chicken slices.

The thickness of the meats are nicely slice and it is just nice to dip into the hot soup.

The meats are fresh and marbling is nice as well.

The overall dining experience was pleasant as the service was good. They respond promptly when we called for services or order.

Oppss...I missed out this post.

This is my Christmas Eve dinner post. I just realized it when i was browsing my photos :)

Swaying just by the river with gorgeous evening view with historic buildings view enhance the mood of the day. We needed to the recommended place called Timbre @ Arts House. There are other branches of Timbre in Singapore. Click on Timbre to find out more.

Timbre provides nice and cosy ambience for dinning in customers and provides the feeling of relaxation when you step into the restaurant.

Roasted Tomato with Crabmeat Mayo S$13

Tomato halves roasted with seasoning topped with fresh crabmeat in creamy mayonnaise. Super delicious and finger licking. I love the taste of the roasted tomato consume together with the crabmeat in creamy mayonnaise. I definitely will order this when i visit again.

Spicy Cajun Chicken & Basil Pizza S$18

Cajun spiced chicken with basil and tomato concasse on thin crusted pizza and mozzarella cheese. Thin crusted pizza truly bring out the fragrance of the ingredients on it and the cajun chicken and basil are all covered well with mozzarella cheese. Thin crusted pizza truly crispy.

Timbre Seafood Pizza S$20

Close up shot of the pizza. The pizza is covered with shrimps, squid rings,mussels and sliced chilli, tomato concasse on thin crust pizza and mozzarella cheese. The ingredients are evenly spread all over the thin crusted pizza. The taste of seafoods are fresh and yummy.

Roasted Duck Pizza S$20

Roasted duck breast,sauteed shiitake mushroom with Hoisin sauce, topped with crispy popiah skin and mozzarella cheese. This is the recommendation from one of the friend. Truly is true enough as you can have unexpected delicious taste of it. The crispiness popiah skin with the crack-crack sound and also the thin crusted pizza make the pizza more interesting. The roasted duck breast meat was just nice and not too hard to chew. However, i cannot taste the shiitake mushroom when i had it. Overall is thumbs up!

Tomo Izakaya @ Esplanade

Tomo in Japanese means "friends".

This japanese restaurant named Tomo Izakaya located at Esplanade is a nice place for dining. The decoration of the restaurant are mostly in woods and placed origami handicraft on the wall. They also have sake bottles to be used as decorations as well.

Below are the selection of foods that we ordered:-

Zaru Soba @ S$9

I like the cold noodle which taste refreshing. The texture of the noodle is very Q and the sauce that goes with the spring onion, wasabi and sesame is splendid.

This is something new to me.

Ton-Shabu Salad S$12.50

Thinly sliced boiled pork with onion and mixed salad in sesame dressing. Simply splendid! The thickness of the boiled pork is not more than 5mm and combination with the salad gives the refreshing taste.

Dashimaki Tamago S$7.00

The tamago is something different from the taste one we had normally.

The texture is smooth and not so sweet as well.

Ninniku Jyako Fried Rice S$10.50

We don't enjoy it. The fried rice is dried and we need to drink ocha to digest the fried rice.

Overall the foods here are delicious except for the fried rice.

It is quite disappointing though.

U-dessert again! I know i keep posting desserts of the same place. But my parents have not tried before. So we brought them for dessert on the first day of the year. Desserts are sweet and mostly are fruits so consider healthy as well. But not too much of durian intake of course.

This time round i have varieties of desserts to share as we have 7 of us.

But there are must order dessert when we drop by.

Durian pancake- RM4 per pc. We ordered 2pcs.

It is simply savoring durian taste!

Mango, pomelo and grass jelly with mango syrup RM8.80.

Today's mango is sweet and refreshing.

Loving the taste of mango and it goes well with the grass jelly.

Tofu pudding & pomelo RM7.80

Tofu pudding is smooth but the taste wise is so so only.

Mango & Pomelo in sago sweet soup ice-cream RM8.80.

Simply cooling and refreshing! The taste of vanilla ice-cream melted into the mango syrup and the sweetness of the dessert can be taste immediately.

Mango, Pomelo in Sago sweet soup and basil seeds RM8.80.

The mango taste is strong here and you can feel the basil seeds when you have it with the soup and mango.

Mango Chong Fan RM8.80

In-house recommendation dessert.

The mango slices are wrapped with chong fan and the syrup on the outer layer of the chong fan. The taste of mango sweetness is there. And chong fan has thin layering and it able to bring out the taste of the mango.

Papaya and aloe in coconut milk RM9.80.

This is huge portion and it will be best to have 2 persons to consume together.

The colour of papaya is orangish and it goes well with the aloe vera and coconut milk. Not too sweet and it is just nice to eat with.

Sago and durian RM5.80

Truly taste of durians. Loving it. My parents can't get enough of a bowl of it.

Weekend Update

Gorgeous evening view from One Fullerton. Headed over to The Butter Factory where the "Pretty in Pink" Charity Fashion Show was held. It is a collaboration from Pink Dolphin with Singapore online fashion label- Love Bonito to create awareness and charity fund for Breast Cancer Foundation.

It wasn't a pleasant start of the show as the rude security doesn't allow us to go in without the chop. The problem is that when we showed our acknowledgement ticket to the receptionist, they didn't even give us a chop and we do not aware of it at all. The security officer wants us to queue for the chop but the queue was super long at that moment. I was so frustrated and luckily one of the attendance told me to get the chop from the receptionist directly. The security guy should just ask me to get the chop from them directly instead of queuing back again! Ridiculous!

Neverthless , we considered lucky as we did not queue for the second time otherwise by the time we went up , there will no more available seats available. This is my first time attending fashion show and it was a great experience. They have auction on the outfits that were modeled by the survivors of breast cancer ladies. All the contribution will be contributed to the breast cancer foundation.

Had my friday lunch at Johor Jaya with my ex-colleagues.

They recommended this coffeeshop that serve famous bitter melon soup.

HinoMaru Japanese Restaurant

On the last day of the year, my dad made a reservation at this recommended japanese restaurant located at Taman Pelangi, Johor Bahru for dinner. So, we headed over as a whole family to dine in there with the reserved private room.

The restaurant is located at the second floor of the shop lots. But the restaurant has a very big signage so you won't miss it.

There will be appetizer for the day which served different types of appetizer for random days. For this time round, we had the pickles with seaweed mixed with the vinegar and a slice of lemon. The appetizer is very refreshing and it is served cold. Presentation is attractive as well with the sesame sprinkle on top of the appetizer.

Sashimi is a MUST dish to order when you step into any japanese restaurant. But this one really served fresh sashimi with different kind of fishes. We have salmon, hamachi, maguro, shiro maguro, shellfish (Hokigai) and mekajiki if i'm not mistaken. All are sliced into thick ones and definitely satisfied your desire for sashimi because it satisfied mine. I can't get enough of it.

Bacon Negi Okonomiyaki which I adored the most. I love the taste of the okinomiyaki with the hanakatsuo (dried fish flakes) scattered on top of the bacon and thin crusted pancake.

Simply delicious! The combination is great with bacon, mayonnaise and sauce enhance the taste of the pancake.

Next we have Ebi Miso Yaki - Grilled tiger prawn with miso sweet and salty sauce on top of the meat which brings out the taste of it and the meat is tender. Thumbs up!

Gindara (Cod fish) coated with mentaiko sauce. The meat texture is soft and tender and the sauce enhance the taste of the fish. I love it!

Favourite dish and recommendation by my mum. Spinach bacon salad which is truly thumbs up! The combination was great. The thickness of bacon is just nice. The thickness was approximately 2mm? or maybe 5mm? Based on my estimation. Thus, we able to munch together with the spinach and olive oil. You won't feel fattening after having it as it really open up your appetite.

Beef Steak which i don't enjoyed it as the meat was overcooked when it is served on the sizzling pot. I would prefer the meat is medium well done when it is served in the sizzling pot.

Momiji maki- Sushi wrapped with soft shell crab and mentai sauce on top of the sushi.

The rice texture is soft and you able to taste the soft shell crab immediately when you have it.

Crispy Onion Ebi maki- This is interesting as it is my first time having sushi with the combination of slices of onion which is deeply fried till so crispy when you munch it, you can hear the sound of the crunchiness. This is a creative combination and taste is nice as well.

However, the private room has no sound proofing as we can hear conversation from another room. However, the private room can fits up to 10pax which is pretty good if we wish to have a gathering session.

Service wise wasn't that good that night. It was quite disappointing as we were waiting for our ocha pot refilled but no one came back to us. Maybe they are short-handed and full house that day. Maybe this explains the reason.

Neverthless the lady boss did give us 10% discount from the total bill. Total damage was around RM300++ not more than RM350 for 8 pax. Sound reasonable? I think yes as the sashimi portion was quite satisfying as we can't get such good deal in Singapore with reasonable price.

24th December 2011 marks the big day for Vina.

She is actually my senior in my first job in singapore. She is such an adorable , smart, pretty lady that i get in touch with when i start working in foreign country. She is a cheerful lady and i'm glad she found her love. Did i mentioned that she is an indonesian chinese? She is married to Malaysian guy from KL. So sweet of them but too bad i cannot attend their wedding at KL.

Neverthless, i wish them a blissful marriage and embark to the new beginning of the stage!

2 days later which is on 26th December 2011 -Boxing Day is my secondary school best mate's wedding. She is an awesome lady and i see her achievement all the way and she is an independent lady. I managed to attend her wedding as it is held in JB. Just in time to witness her happiness before i headed back singapore for the usual routine.

Picture taken using iphone with instagram effects. I'm glad to have Alice to join in as well. I still remember en ling and alice were top academic students. Both of them has healthy competition and maintain good results during primary and secondary school time.

It was a nice gathering as i managed to catch up with Michelle. She is engaged on 30th December which appeared in the fb status now. The bf gave her a surprise. So sweet. I got to know her through English camp during primary school but not sure which year. It was a pleasant experience as we were still small and only few chinese students were selected for the english camp. That's the reason why we get to know each other.

Wedding lunch was nice. The foods are presentable and acceptable. Love the companions and glad to witness friend's happiness. This marks the last wedding that i attended towards end of the year. Year 2012 will be a year of happiness surrounded as well. I think it's the matter of age as my current age, many of my friends who has already found their partners are starting to settle down this year. Mm.. Truly is as i got 6 red bombs coming.

Wonder when will i have the chance to be the one giving out the red bomb instead. haha! I think i still has long way to go. But i going to tell myself to achieve my resolution on this brand new year!Make it happen and make it better...

Brand new year 2012 and i want to have a section for 'My Say' weekly as i love to do online shopping nowadays. So i decided to have my say in my blog to share with everyone on my own buying experience. All are based on my own experience say.

I came across a deal at ilovedeals.sg.

The deal has already expired quite sometime ago. The link for the deal that i purchased here. S$9.90 is quite a bargain for 1900mAH iphone portable charger.

So i contacted the seller to claim my voucher deal. I remembered it was 6th december when i emailed them. They were very responsive and mailed out the item.

However, 2 weeks later i still haven't receive my parcel and i emailed again to get respond from them. They were friendly and stated that they will post out the item if I still haven't receive the parcel on 23rd December, they will send a replacement to me.

True enough that i still haven't receive my parcel and i emailed them again on 27th December. They received a returned parcel and post out again. This time round, i finally received my iphone portable charger before the end of the year.

Perhaps due to festive season, the mailing process takes much more longer time. However, Knicknacklove is quite patience and even offer for replacement after my respond email.

Finally i got my iphone charger and i can have no worries low batt when i'm out for the whole day. Thanks to Knicknacklove :)

Second Visit to Porn's

It's my second visit to Porn's Thai restaurant owned by the singapore celebrity, Pornsak.

Had my pre-celebration new year with a friend which can consider as new friend, Charlene after work. Since she wanted to try Porn's restaurant so we headed to Liang street, located at Bugis for dining.

She ordered the Thai ice milk tea with the ice crushed filling up the glass. She love the drink and commented it is smoothing to her taste bud.

Pineapple Rice. We have to mix all the ingredients (Cashew nut, raisin, pineapple rice with prawn and chicken floss) together to have the combination taste. I don't really enjoy the taste as it is quite dry and you will feel thirsty after having it.

Green vegetables which taste spicy to me. The red chilli is very powerful. I can't take spicy foods but the dish is ok for me as i removed all the chilli before consuming it.

Nevertheless my friend commented delicious and crunchy taste of the vegetables.

Fried Fish with sweet & sour taste. Crispy on the outer part and smooth on the fish texture. Taste delicious and we gobbled up the whole fish.

Red ruby is a must dessert in Thai's foods. I love to munch the red ruby but i still prefer Nakhon kitchen red ruby taste. This has too much of coconut milk taste. Overall it is acceptable. Huge portion for the price of SGD5.90 if not mistaken.

We spent around SGD62 for 2 pax for the dinner inclusive of service and GST tax. It is just nice portion for us as we shared the rice and ate with the dishes.

It is my second time to Level 33 located at Marina Bay Financial Centre.

This is my first post here with my ex-colleagues.

This time round i went with my uni mates and alice. They wanted

to see the singapore view. I think this is a perfect spot view where we can see MBS, Singapore flyers and tall buildings around Singapore.

Thanks to Ray for his Canon digital camera plus my lomo apps in iphone does the trick for the snap shots:-

As you can see lotsa of white dots floating in the picture. There are all the wishing balls floating on the river at marina bay.

I wrote on one of the balls. My wish for year 2012 :)

Dinner @ MOF, NEX

I was clearing up my photos taken from iphone and i found these that i yet to post it out. These were taken on the month of October when we (my colleagues and director) had a farewell dinner with supplier before she returns back M'sia for good.

The venue: MOF @ NEX, Serangoon

I had my birthday celebration at MOF Suntec City and i am not fancy for MOF foods as their taste wasn't that nice to me. Neverthless the dinner was pleasant. The foods are acceptable except for the service wasn't that pleasant. I remembered we were seated at the end of the restaurant. It was isolated away and we are searching high and low for the service staffs as they hardly walked pass our area except for food serving.

A plate of salmon avocado sushi with mayo. I was expecting the salmon and avocado was mixed together with the mayo. This is because i had a good one at ichiban outlets. I prefer to be mix. In terms of quality wise, the salmon was fresh, the nori (seaweed) was crispy and avocado was just nice and not too hard to chew.

Claypot beef with rice which i forgotten the exact name of this dish. The meat was served raw and so was the egg. So customer is able to enjoy the stirring and mixing part.

Sashimi set with rice on the bottom part.

The colours of the sashimi is beautiful. The presentation is nice.

Sushi which has salmon and fish roe on the top and cucumber,crabmeat and tamago were wrapped with the rice. Nice combination and we able to chew the crispy cucumber and taste the salmon melted into the mouth.

Claypot rice with seafood. Seafood in terms of salmon and prawns are mixed together with the rice. The portion is just nice for a person serving. The rice is sticky but you won't get tired of the taste as it blend well into your taste bud with the unagi of course.You can taste the unagi sauce that blend into the rice as well.

MOF serves varieties of desserts and that really attracts my attention. As compared with other chain of Japanese restaurants, they only have limited choice.

So below are the desserts that we ordered to try. Japanese desserts will surely comes with the red bean paste, matcha ice-cream and also dumplings.

Matcha ice-cream with red bean and dumplings which is an excellent combination. The sweetness of the red bean goes well with the matcha and dumplings. Not too sweet but just nice to suit the taste buds.

Vanilla ice-cream with the jelly and sweet sauce. I forget the actual name of the dessert so i just name out the ingredients served. So please pardon me. The vanilla ice-cream has the same taste of McDonald ice-cream except it has matcha flavoring at the outer part.

Lastly we have the heart shape waffle to go with the sesame ice-cream and dumplings. I love the QQ taste of the dumplings and it doesn't stick on the tooth and I enjoyed chewing it with the taste of the ice-cream sipped into my mouth.

Overall the desserts are quite tempting to me. I would love to have desserts there as they provide varieties of choices. As for foods, the value wise is acceptable. Anyway it depends on you and your taste bud.

On the day of Christmas

Weekend was hectic with friends coming from KL. So i brought them shopping at Bugis and snapping away at Orchard.

Alice stayed over my place for 2 days and we traveled from JB to Singapore. It is her first official visiting in spore. Previous was not counted as she doesn't have time to shop around or walk around. She is getting little excited with it. Glad that this makes her happy.

I recommended her to try since bubble tea drink is the trend now in spore and getting famous in m'sia as well. It is her first time trying it and she is happy with the result :)

Bugis shopping the whole afternoon and she got herself nice outfit(s) and good bargain for the brother as well. Hush puppies sale and further discount 15%! I did mentioned in my previous post didn't i? I bought for my dad as well on that day.

Enough of shopping and we headed back jb to have dinner with my family members after so many days missing.

Happy Boxing Day Everyone!

This year christmas is slightly different. I got a xmas gift from close friend, SSC. Thanks to the gf and i got a gift from him. It was so sweet of him but i keep asking him why he give me present. Then the gf explained the story to me.Aha..then i know the truth.

We managed to meet up before xmas and had a pre-xmas dinner at Fish in Manhattam at Bedok point. It was a nice meet up session with the chit chatting and strolling back home.

Nevertheless, thanks for your gift my dear friend :)

It was a raining christmas eve when we (alice & me) met Sun & Hui Ling at 313 somerset. Alice has a sharp eye and she managed to shout out their names although she has not met them for 12 years!!! Salute to her memory!

I was quite surprised to see changi airport decoration theme is angry birds. Posters and boards are all about angry birds. Lucky for me as i need to send Alice to airport so we took few snapshots before she checks in.

Shopping christmas for this season for me as i brought walnut and alice to singapore shopping continuously over the weekend. Spend quite a lot on apparels as it is really SALE! Worst part was that i already bought the hush puppies tops for my family guy and on the christmas day itself, the same actual top has further 15% off again! So i lost control again and digging sizes for my dad.haha! Sound like a typical aunty now. I'm splurging recently over the christmas season.

Neverthless, I am glad to old fren to drop by and i can bring her around singapore shopping. I am glad that she is very happy to have the shopping spree which she seldom does back in KL. I sound like devil urging people to spend money. haha!!

Ice-cream buffet session over one of the weekend with sisters in Singapore followed by my own self-camwhoring pictures and varieties of ice-cream served.

We purchased S$15 per pax from one of the voucher website in singapore. The initial buffet supposed to be S$30 per pax. I am glad that we only spend S$15 instead because i am full after 3rd round. As in first two round was 3 scoops of ice-cream each time and the last round was waffle ice-cream.

The ice-cream served was average taste only but it served varieties that perhaps satisfied the visual desires then :)

Unexpected meet up session with ex-colleagues. This was taken few weeks ago when we decided to had our meet up session at The Cafe Cartel at Plaza Singapura.

We had a bad experience there as the staffs there are unfriendly and they practically don't smile at all. We need to put our hands up calling for order. After few attempts, we managed to get hold a waitress to serve us. Basically is PRC lady who doesn't smile at all and seems like look down on us as we only order platter. I forgot what sauce i requested and she said not available. So i opt out my choice of ordering french fries. If I am not mistaken, it is the tartar sauce.

Then we have another waitress which i guess is from Philippine.She has better smile and services. She would suggest me for wasabi sauce to replace on the actual sauce stated in the menu. It seems like the F&B services getting more PRC and Philippines to serve in front line which is really not a good signal. Services played an important role especially in front line as it symbolize the place and the country people.

HK Sheng Kee Dessert @ Bedok Point

Came across this dessert shop at Bedok Point. This is my first time having dinner at Bedok Point and meet up session with ex-colleagues aka friends. Thus, we decided to have a chit chat session at dessert shop.

So we decided to patronize Sheng Kee dessert shop.

Below is our choice on that night:-

Mango Pudding SGD3.90 per serving.

Presentation is nice as the the taste is so-so only.

Mango Sago SGD 4.90 per serving.

My friend commented not nice. She said the combination wasn't that great and she didn't finish up the whole serving.

Mango Pomelo Sago SGD4.90 per serving. The presentation is decent enough and the colour of the mango is beautiful. As for the taste wise, the syrup is very thick with mango taste. I prefer U-dessert mango sago instead.

When do yourself really feels that anything is possible? I do feel it when i am surrounded with love. Love from family members, kins, loved ones and friends. The love given was not artificial, or even give for the sake of being fake ones. Love can be beautiful and it can be a cruel one if you get yourself hurt.

I miss being the feeling of loved and wish to be loved. I admit that i don't like the feeling being lonely but sometimes i wish to be alone too. Sound contradicting? I do think so..haha! Nevertheless i will make my life as colourful as possible. At least being a workaholic on weekdays do served the purpose of making the life fullest.

Family bonding is very important. After both grandma been hospitalizing for the past one month, grandpa 1 year anniversary, family issues with all troubles brewing, family bonding gets closer then. It is something good and bad as in good that family members get to understand one another even better and bad because troubles brewing within the family. I love my family despite sisters have conflict and arguments along the journey.

Friendship valuable especially when age gets older. Friends are getting lesser and the gap is getting bigger as time goes by. I am thankful that i have several good friends ever since secondary schools til now. Although we seldom contact but we shared the common thoughts of life that we believed in.

Love comes in many ways and how we perceived it. It depends on how we handle it and take it. Love is fragile but it bring out the life of an individual. I love my family, friends and people that are important to me...

Tofu pudding & sesame soup RM5.80.

Tofu pudding is smooth and tender.

It definitely a good choice to go with sesame and taste sweet.

Snow fungus and lotus seeds soup RM6.80.

Snow fungus taste refreshing and sweet taste.

Stewed pear and snow fungus RM6.80.

Taste refreshing with the stewed pear and u can taste the pear in it.

Mango and pomelo in sago sweet RM8.80.

The colour of the mango is very beautiful and the mango taste sweet and the pomelo perks up with the combination of mango soup.

Sweet ball Thai black glutinuous RM5.80.

The glutinuous is chewy and goes well with the red bean soup. You can taste the sweetness of the red bean.

Durian & pomelo in sago sweet RM8.80.

Durian is filling and goes well with the sago of course. You can see the durian flesh is so yellowish and meaty.

Durian,pomelo and thai black glutinuous RM8.80.

Don't really like the combination of the thai black glutinuous with durian filling. It taste a bit weird and don't really like the taste of it.

It makes me craving for durian now. Yummy!

Haven't been in the mood of blogging lately due to the workload over flooding and family issues. Things do not seems to be that smooth after all. Luckily some of the issues are sorted out. Anyway enough of the mumbling and did i mentioned that my colleague and I went for ice-cream making workshop at Pasir Ris. We bought the voucher from ilovedeal.sg for S$25 which is supposed to be S$50 for the workshop of 2 hours. It was an interesting workshop where we get our hands dirty and start messing up with the tools and ingredients. It was a good experience after all.

After the workshop, I headed to Bugis to meet a fren for movie and dinner. I remembered that i was craving for Japanese foods and headed to Suntec City mall after the movie. Ootoya has the second branch located at Suntec City mall. I loved their foods especially their rice which made my appetite grows bigger. I sound like 'fan tong' here.

This time round is quite different because I ordered dessert! We were supposed to wait for a fren to have proper dinner. The desserts were surprising as good as it looks. Simply sweet and delicious!

Zenzai Milk S$6.00 which contains rice flour dumplings with red beans and peanut crush. As you know japanese red bean taste sweeter than ours and it goes extremely well with the dumplings and very chewy as well.

Closer look at the size of the dumplings..

Warabimochi S$7.00 which includes jelly balls with sweet red bean, soybean flour and peanut crush. The jelly is very Q and it goes very with the ice-cream. The cold ice-cream combination with the jelly balls mixed well into your taste buds.

Followed by the mackerel fish set with the rice, miso soup and appetizer of the day. As what we expected the fish is tender and well-grilled. The grilled taste on the outer and smoothness on the inner. It truly satisfied my friend and praised me for a good recommendation.Hehe!

My all time favourite grilled katsu with the salad dressing that i couldn't miss craving for it all the time. The tenderness of the meat and the skin of the chicken was nicely grilled and goes well with the dressing. Everything smell and taste good with the white rice and into the mouth. The presentation was splendid as well.

I would say that the standard of Ootoya is quite consistent and it does not disappoint me and my friends. Definitely a good place for nice and affordable home feel japanese cuisine. The ocha taste refreshing and nice aroma as well. It should be able to wash away the grease after the dinner which i always presume that.

Catch up Session @ Hong Kong Cafe - East Coast Road

Met up with ex-colleagues some time back ago. Su sam is here for her fren's wedding and we decided to meet up for chat up session. Lam and Jolene are free on that day. So we are lucky enough to brought to east coast park for tea break at Hong Kong cafe.

XO carrot cake which looks presentable but the taste is so-so only. It does not taste well when it turned cold. A bit dry and not enjoying though.

Nissin noodle with luncheon meat and egg. Exactly what hong kong cafe served.

Fried kuey teow that has lotsa bean sprouts and the taste is so-so also.

French toast with peanut butter between the layering. Jolene is not allow to take raw and fried foods. Thus, bread is her choice on that day.

Anyway, not about the foods but the companion on that day. It was a splendid day with the catch up and meet up.

Just a short post to reminisce this one day i get to meet up with them. Jolene is a strong lady who fight well with her illness. I respect her being a positive lady and being independent and working to earn for living and medical expenses. Susam also recovered from her cancer and she is doing great now. Both ladies worth my respect.

My colleague has recommended a nice place for dinner cum supper. This place is definitely a good place for supper in Singapore. It is located at Simpang Bedok which is a stretch of halal restaurants that open till late night. It is a place for hangout after the night activities.

One of the famous eateries is Spize which also provide delivery services as well. Spize would be good choice as they served varieties of foods. You name it. Western, malay and chinese cuisine are available. They also served desserts as well.

Roti John Chicken & special (S$5.50) is absolutely splendid with its presentation and taste as well. Savoring with the taste of it!

Cheesy fries (S$5.90) Super duper delicious! It is definitely a good choice for snacks and appetizer. I love the cheesy taste.

Hotplate grill garlic mushroom chicken chop with mashed potatoes (S$12.50). The sauce is compatible with the grilled chicken chop which makes the overall taste just melt into your mouth when you taste it.

Squid with black bean and curry leaves (S$8.00) which taste Q and fresh.

Ginger & spring onion clam (S$8.00) which taste fresh and the sauce is compatible with clams.

Baby Kailan with oyster sauce (S$7.00) - baby kailan taste fresh and goes well with oyster sauce. It's cooking style is similar to chinese cooking style.

Hotplate egg tofu with fresh mushroom (S$12.00) Exactly same cooking style as chinese style. I love the tofu smoothness with the eggs. Splendid choice!

The place provide affordable and reasonable pricing. Spize also provide choices to choose from and definitely a good place for gathering and makan session. It's the atmosphere eating along the road side which we can only find in Malaysia.

Mum's Cooking Is The Best

Mummy's cook is the best! *grins*

Can't get enough of mum's cook. She has a pair of magic hand that capable to turn all the dishes on the table to be superb delicious. I know i sound exaggerating but it truly is. I bet you will also say your mum's cook is the best too, aren't you?

Oh ya..Century egg with ginger taste awesome! You must give it a try. I fall in love with this when rui brought me to fatty crab at KL last year for birthday celebration.

Just wanna share mum's cooking. She created new dish below after watching a show from the TV. She cooked the slice fish with tofu (beancurd) on top of the dish. The fish was cooked first with the onion,ginger and oyster sauce and placed the fresh beancurd on top and add on spring onion to make the presentation looks for colourful. The combination outcome is delicious. The beancurd is smooth and goes well with the fish and white rice.

Braised pork which was cooked for hours to make sure the pork texture is tender in the inner. A look of the dish does not look special but it requires time to make it. This is yummy as well and i love the sauce that we can just have it with white rice.

Winter melon soup which is brewed for hours using slow cooker. Mum put in red dates, pork meat, winter melon and other ingredients to make the soup taste sweet and smoothing to drink. She mentioned that the ingredients will be able to make the soup taste more sweetie when she put everything in without adding sugar into it. It is healthy soup to drink.

Fried kangkong with chili padi. We are not spicy fan. Thus, we take minimum of spiciness and mum knows well our foods habit and make it just nice for us to enjoy. It is not enough to be a cook as he/she needs to think what to cook for us and also what we like or don't like to eat.

Mum is very thoughtful and enjoyed cooking for us. She is very happy when we finished up all the dishes she cooked. She said she will have a sense of achievement and butterflies in the stomach when daddy and the daughters praised her cooking.

However when the night falls, i can't help feeling hungry again and mum's dishes are all whipped out so i opened the fridge and look for foods to eat.

It is such a bad habit to eat middle of the night especially after midnite which is super unhealthy and fattening as well. But i can't helped it.

End up i had koko krunch for my late supper before i go to bed last saturday. hehe!

I will surely miss mum's cooking if i am unable to go back over the weekend. Thus, we also make the effect to go back for dinner together and also spend time with family members.

Tandoori Restaurant

Wan Teng aka Peanut (sis) was craving for Indian food. So i google searching for nice reviews on any indian restaurant in town. We are not a fan to indian cuisine thus little research need to be done before we choose the right one to try.

On another hand, Peanut is pregnant for second child. Thus, explain to her craving on Indian food. We decided to try Tandoori Restaurant at Serangoon Plaza. It is a walking distance from exit H from Farrer Park MRT station.

Tandoori Chicken (Quarter) S$9.90

Spring chicken marinate with the spices and cream and grilled in clay oven. Thus explain the fragrance of the tandoori chicken when it is served. The outer layer of the chicken was nicely grilled and the texture of the meat is tender and smooth. I don't really like the taste of the green sauce. So i prefer the original taste of the chicken.

Cheese Naan S$5.50 per pc (slice into 4 pieces). It is home-made cheese and mozzarella cheese stuffed in the bread. You can taste the strong taste of the cheese. I am not a cheese lover so i don't really enjoyed it. But my friend tasted it and love it instantly.

Garlic Naan S$ 3.50 (Slice into 2 pieces). Leavened bread with garlic which i personally love it very much.

Naan is best to go with butter chicken. Butter Chicken S$ 17.00.

The butter chicken is marinated chicken cooked in thick, rich, creamy gravy.

Superb taste! It is not spicy at all. Not to mention the texture of the chicken. It is tender and chewy to enjoy. However, the price is quite pricey for the portion given.

I was browsing through youtube and i listened to the song sang by this small boy. His voice and song is touching and you can feel the warmth within your heart when you listen to him singing. He has the amazing voice that can capture the feeling and heart of people.

Wu Damu is one of the finale on China Got Talent Show 2011. He is only 12 year old Mongolian boy who has been a heat everywhere. He lost his mum at the age of 8 and his father at 11.

Do take your time to listen the song and it truly able to touch everyone hearts with his amazing voice.

Tampopo Japanese Restaurant

There are good reviews of Tampopo Japanese restaurant so my colleagues and I decided to give it a try. We headed to the branch located at Takashimaya.

Japanese foods are always my all time favourite and salmon sashimi is my first choice is my menu list.

We ordered the unagi bento set.Not much comment of it as it is standard presentation and the taste is good. However, it is a bit dry without any sauce to go with the unagi and rice. The portion is not value for the price in my point of view.

Black Pig Shabu ramen which is the chef recommendation in the menu.(S$ 14.30). The ramen texture is Q, tangy and smooth. The fragrance taste of the soup isn't strong and i don't really enjoy it. The interlaced fats in the slice of black pork was essential for the tenderness of the meat.

Chicken katsu set.

Presentation is good and taste is just fine. The chicken is tender and crispy on the outer layer.

Baked scallop with cheese S$ 12.80.

The scallop size is big really tempting. It goes well with the cheese and egg. You can feel the freshness of the scallop when you taste it.

Potato salad. The portion is quite big and we whipped it off in no time. The salad taste very appertizing and it goes well with the sauce. You can taste the egg,carrot and cucumber with the potato.

Overall the foods are acceptable but kinda pricey. However, if you are looking for cosy ambience for dining, Tampopo can be included in your list of the choice.

M&M Shoes Anyone?

Finally the custom made shoes was successfully sent over to Ju's house. It was just in time before she out for lunch. I got my fren's sister to custom made the shoes. I bought a white canvas shoes and send it to her to do the customization.

I was thinking M&M is bestie's favourite collection and this idea popped out in my mind when i get to know about the customization. I was thinking something special then and glad that she like it :)

However the sad part is that the shoe's size is too small for Ju. Arghh...really a big waste but anyway, hope bestie will like it.

I had it drawn in a family look.So you can see right shoe with M&M daddy and M&M daughter followed by the left shoe with M&M Mummy & M&M daughter (coming soon).

Mei Heong Yuen Dessert Chinatown

Mei Heong Yuen Dessert located nearby Chinatown mrt which is a local heritage dessert shop known by local singaporeans. It is a good place to get the shave of ice to cool ourselves due to hot weather.

It is also in my favourite dessert list in Singapore if i drop by Chinatown. Had an outing with Evelyn and we headed over for dessert.

The dessert shop is always crowded with customers but the service is quite fast and efficient. We need to pay once the foods are served. They have various flavors to select from especially all kind of fruity snow ice.

A must try-carrot cake which taste yummy when you dip into their specialty chili sauce.

The texture is very smooth and soft.

Mango is always my favourite fruit. We ordered mango shave ice and truly mango taste. Very sweet and fruitful as well. It is just nice for 2 person sharing.

My first time ever surfing!

Headed to Wave House Sentosa last week for my virgin surfing trip with new bunch of friends I get to know from Bella Kini Singapore. Many thanks to Bella Kini giving me a chance to experience surfing! I was super excited and thrill after receiving the call from them one day.

The Wavehouse is a walking distance from beach station and very convenient to access. It was crowded with people and the beach feel is definitely a yes once you step into wavehouse.

Simply thriling and scary also. Imagine you will be swept away by the artificial waves and the 'strong current'. It is very tough to balance yourself on the board with the flow of water moving so fast!

I think i need more practice to make it perfect.I need to find tune to balance myself and control within my means. But for now i think i need lots of practicing and falling.

Penang Delicacies

The unforgettable taste when i went to Penang last month. Sin Yee's mum bought us for makan session at hawker stall along road side which i had not experience it for a long time.

1. Ais Kacang with coca-cola taste and enjoying every sip of the ices.

2. Chew Kuey which taste delicious with the chili sauce. It has a smooth appearance with rich ingredients in it. Yummy as it taste different from the one i had at else where.

3. Ikan bakar. Totally in love with it.

The special chili sauce goes very well with the fish.

4. Seafood porridge which is famous along the road nearby to Penang airport. It served very big portion and i can't finish my own portion. It also have seafood noodles and we can choose the seafood varieties on our choice of own.

Delicious soup taste and definitely miss the taste of it.

Hopefully got a chance to try it another time.

Blue Reef Fish & Chips

This is my second time to Blue Reef. My first time was 2 years back when i went Penang. This time round is for Sin Yee's birthday and this restaurant has already expand branch to shopping mall. Blue Reef is well-known with it's fish and chips and truly it is with it's large portion of serving.

Mushroom soup and it taste creamy.Delicious!

Appetizers to go with it but i forget the name.

It served with bread and the cheesy prawn on top and appetizing!

Onion Ring which is crispy but in terms of taste kinda tasteless. But it still taste good with their in-house tartar sauce.

Spaghetti with creamy mushroom sauce which taste equivalently with the appearance.

Thumbs up!

Cheesy pizza. Sorry i forget the actual name of the pizza. But they do served varieties of pizza which you can choose from.

Birthday gal & Grace with their choice of dish.

Photos below are different kind of fish and cooked with traditional beer batter or bread crumbs.

They have the Spanish mackerel, halibut and garoupa fish to serve as fish & chips. Price is approximately RM26.00

Grilled Salmon Fish Fillet served with mashed potato, sauted vegetables and bearnaise sauce. Price: RM25.00

The price range from RM19++ onwards and consider reasonable for western foods as their serving is quite big.

However, Penang is a food heaven place where we can just go to any hawker stall along the road side can enjoy nice foods. So depends on what you want to have to fill your stomach :)

Wrap up for Langkawi with B'day Celebration

Wrap up for my final post for Langkawi trip. I just realized that some are the photos are not shared here. So basically photos taken on the last night with a surprise birthday celebration for Christine. It was her birthday and we celebrated in a special way for her.

We had our dinner as usual but we bought the rotiboy along to the dinner place. The special part is that the bread was 3 days ago and it cannot be eaten at all.So we decided to make it as Christine's birthday cake.

Basically the photos below captured the expression on her face when we presented the cake to her. Super hilarious!!

Since we do not have candle with us, we put a cigratte as a candle in the middle for her.She totally unexpected and cannot accept.Yeah..we are creative ones. I admit.haha!!

Wait..we have another surprise for her when we back to our room. We brought her the real cake and sang her another birthday song. Ah chuan has difficulties to buy the cake in Langkawi. We cannot find any bakery shop in the town area as well. So in the end he bought it at Starbucks, Langkawi airport and bought a box from random shop at the airport to it them in. Very special cake indeed! Different flavors of slices of cake to make up a complete cake.

Hard Rock Cafe @ Sentosa

We had our lunch break at Hard Rock Cafe which located at Sentosa. Hard rock cafe is famous with live band and their long history in almost every part of the world. Not to mention the environment and ambiance is excellent.

Forget the name of this drink but it is strongly recommended in the menu list.

It taste like 'fong you' drink. But not bad after all.

My choice of drink: mango smoothie

Grilled Salmon fillet for SGD30++

Fillet grilled salmon and topped with Merlot-garlic butter and served with mashed potato and fresh vegetables. The portion is relatively big serving and the salmon was nicely grilled. Taste delicious and the vegetables are very colourful.

Hard Rock legendary burgers and we ordered one of it to try. The slices of pork with the special sauce topping to go with the burger. It is good to share because it is too much for a person. You will end up not taking pork burger for months as the portion is quite huge. So sharing would be just nice for us.

New York Strip Steak. It was medium well done and the meat is tender and juicy. It goes well with the sauce not to mention to have some fresh vegetables to go with it. Mashed potatoes is a must in the dish.

Fish & Chips SGD26++

We ordered 2 plate of this. I love fish & chips.The fish outer is deep fried to golden brown and cispy on the layer and smooth texture in the inner. You won't make the wrong choice for this dish :)

Pork Ribs with french fries that taste splendid. The pork rib is full of meat in between the bones. Thus, you won't disappointed not having enough of the ribs.

Famous Fajitas with our choice of grilled chicken, shredded Jack & Cheddar cheeses, fresh guacamole, sour cream, shredded lettuce and hot flour tortillas. Thumbs up for this dish! It is like having nachos with cheese. You can hear the crunchy sound when u take a bite of the fajitas. Saliva drooling now as i miss the taste it now! Once you start to take a bite, you won't stop. Like seriously..in love with this dish.

Twisted mac,chicken & cheese.

A grilled chicken breast tops off twisted cavatappi pasta tossed in a lightly spiced 3-cheese sauce with garlic roasted red peppers and Romano parsley bread crumbs and served with a side of garlic toast. I don't usually take chicken breast but this one is exceptionally. The chicken breast top meat was well grilled and the meat is not that hard to chew and taste good. Unlike the normal ones the meat is quite hard to chew and digest. This is really exceptional. The twisted pasta with cheese sauce taste delicious as well. Although it is cooked with cheese sauce and i do admit i am not a cheese lover but this is just nice for me. You can taste the aroma of the cheese with the pasta.

Universal Studio Singapore (USS)

Finally I stepped into USS!

It was a pleasant and thrilling USS day with ex-colleagues. Luckily there isn't long queue to queue for the games. The waiting was about 15-20 minutes for the ride. We spent a whole day from morning until evening

Since it was Halloween week, the whole USS was decorated with the theme and there ain't fireworks on saturday. It was closed 6pm as there is Halloween event from 8pm - 12 midnite. But our tickets are only available for day use so we only hang around til 6pm.

Super thrilling roller coaster especially the red one. I tried both of them and went dizzy for the blue one. It turned 5 times during the ride and 360 degree.

Langkawi-Part 4

After the lunch, we headed for our island hopping. The entire tour is RM60 per pax for the whole afternoon session.

Photos before we set off...

First stop is Pulau Dayang Bunting. It is well-known with it's lengendary story. For more information of the pulau can be found here .

There are lotsa of monkeys hanging around the island and they are super aggressive. They are like thieves snatching tourists foods. The monkeys are very sensitive to plastic bags and the smell of food. One of the tourist tandoori chicken was snatched by the monkey in a swift. They act very fast and in a glimpse, everything is gone.

There is a walking distance to reach the destination of the tasik.

We are exhausted walking up and down as well just to see the lengendary lake.

Here it is the story of the Lake of the pregnant maiden all written at the lake side.

We had stop over an hour and headed to another destination to see eagles flying up the sky.

Did you see the mountain picture below? It shapes out a lady with pregnant figure.The head is at the right side followed by the pregnant stomach at the left side. Truly amazing right?

Here we are the eagles flying here and there. We feed them with raw chicken skin.

This is the main reason why we can see the eagles in a closer view.

Last stop which is our donut riding water sport activity. It costs us each RM30 for a ride. It is very good experience ride. We were shouting all the way during the ride. Thrilling ride and my hair pin lost during the ride. I should have not tie my hair up.

Anyway that is not the main point. The donut ride is kinda similar to banana ride but this ride only allows 3 persons at one time.

We also went for Go-Kart ride after all the water sport activities.It is a driving distance from our hotel. The ride costs RM75 for 10 minutes. Since we all have not tried before so we decided to give a shot and the guys started to race. I have my accident phobia and drove very slowly and i am the last to arrive. Shame on me! Hehe!

Nevertheless the whole trip is awesome. I tried many new things that i never tried before. Don't know why this time round, i dare to challenge myself to try all kinds of stuffs. Wonder where my courage comes from.

We have to put on the safety head mask before we put on the helmet due to safety issues. There is an accident that the hair was tangled up by the engine starter which is just at the back seat of the kart. Thus, safety precaution is needed before the ride starts.

It has been a long time since i last watched movie. The story line for this movie is not bad. It is also reflects that time is money. Can you imagine if we only left one day to live, what will you do? How will u use your time then? In this story, rich/ wealthy people will live forever and poor will get poorer and unable to live long enough. This reflects the reality in our life that. Rich people getting richer and poor remain unchanged. It's like if you give a lump sum money to the rich ones, they will do something to generate more of the amount given. That's explains the concept here in certain perspective.Don't you think so? This is my personal point of view. It's worth watching and can feel the excitement of the fiction story as it played.
