Went to Causeway point outlet for food tasting last Friday before i headed back to JB. Managed to try the new menu launched. Osaka Food Culture Menu. Ordered Osaka Hakozushi Mori as you seen below..Its a very compact traditional sushi with fresh items. Hakozushi is known as box sushi and oshizuki is known as pressed sushi in Osaka. Based on the explaination in the menu...*grins*.Anyway, the sushi mori include eel (anago), shrimp (amaebi) & mackerel (saba) fish as the sushi topping. The rice is mixed with the vinegar and it can be very filling if you gonna eat the whole lot...

Next we have this Tai Kama & Mizuna. It's the seabream fish head served with the japanese mustard greens with dashi stock. Taste fantastic..I love the soup. It's hot and taste jz nice. I love the fish..Fresh and it absorb the soup taste as well..Oh ya the Mizuna refer the the vegetable which u can see from the pic below...Taste like..dun know how to describe..hehe

Another shot of the seabream fish head..See the mushroom? It's quite big as it absorbs the soup like a sponge..haha

The last speciality is the Fugu Karaage.Fugu which is known as puffer fish.We had fried puffer fish. The taste like cream dory fillet.Thumbs up! The fish meat is very smooth..I wish i have the chance to try the puffer fish sashimi one of these days..

Jz sharing..based on the wikipedia,
Puffer Fish are the second most poisonous vertebrate in the world, the first being a Golden Poison Frog. The skin and certain internal organs of many Tetraodontidae are highly toxic to humans, but nevertheless the meat of some species is considered a delicacy in both Japan (as fugu) and Korea (as bok-uh). If one is caught while fishing, it is recommended that thick gloves are worn to avoid poisoning and getting bitten when removing the hook.
The Tetraodontidae contains at least 121 species of puffers in 19 genera.[1] They are most diverse in the tropics and relatively uncommon in the temperate zone and completely absent from cold waters. They are typically small to medium in size, although a few species can reach lengths of 100 centimetres (39 in).[2]

The puffer fish seems cute rite but beware..it's poisonous...
