Dove Hair Treatment + Hair Myths


I received an unexpected email from Unilever few weeks ago. I was selected as one of the girl to share Dove's secret. It was an extra bonus for me and i got sponsored for the whole range of the hair loss products that was launched by Dove.

Fact: While it's true that prolonged stress and an imbalanced diet may lead hair loss, this is usually a temporal symptom, and can be tackled by making adjustments to your lifestyle.

My personal experience with Dove product range was a pleasant one. I used to be lazybum to use hair conditioner. I started off using conditioner and i can see the immediate result. I can feel the softness of my hair and less frizzy as well. The Dove Hair Fall Rescue System Leave-on Intensive Hair Tonic is very useful for me. The package is very suitable for travel kit use. Besides using the products, i also need to put in effort to go for hair scalp treatment every month. It is actually quite pricey to go hair salon every month. I start to have self-obsession to smell my hair all the time. This is based on my own experience through the 2 weeks time.




Sudden Thoughts

 It has been a while since I last pen down my thoughts in my space.
 Life has been truly hectic and basically i have no time to communicate with outside people. I am referring to my family and friends. Basically i only communicate with my work and colleagues on weekdays. 
When the night falls and time to sleep, i will miss my bed.

Seriously i need an overhaul. I need time to slow down so that i can reflect changes over an year. Time has been moving very fast and honestly i don't even have time to judge my thoughts. Sometimes I will be carried away on my workloads and my mind is all about working and working. 

Little steps that i take is to work towards the lifestyle i wish to have in future. I don't know whether the steps that i take will lead me to a better one. But I do not want to have any regrets in future. Working has been extremely stressful and things doesn't seems to go well as I expected and plan. Life truly unexpected and unpredictable so just live the life that we wish for now and future. People always want to have what they wish to but they can't make the step out to do what they want. So in the end it can't be attained. I just want to make my life better than the past. It's about the attitude and mentality for me now.


One of the way to de-stress is to eat. I started to grow my love on foods and it has always been a favourite hobby all along. Thanks to my dad as well as he is a food lover as well. I always reward myself for good food to balance my stress in work.  Thank god i have a group of friends who are food lover as well. Sometimes life isn't about having the best for everything, it's all about appreciation and importance value of family and friends that appear in your life. 

Perhaps when you reaches certain age or time, your mentality and mindsets do provides another new platform for a new phrase of life. I am not sure about you but I felt so lately. It's no longer like seeking more on tangible stuffs but more of the intangible assets that money cannot buy. Happiness is one of them and when you are young, less burden, less expectation and responsibilities or less complicated thoughts, you are easily be contented. As for now, more burden, more responsibilities and complicated thoughts built over the years. The expectation grown together with the reality of society.  Blame the society for being so realistic but that's how the reality of life.

Nevertheless happiness is to search and find by yourself. 
I want to be the seeker for my happiness.

Came across this video from fb. Most of my 80's frens are sharing this video. It really brought back lotsa memories of our primary and secondary school period.

I miss wearing pinafore and baju kurung during my high schools. It's not bored after all because i need to think what to wear everyday now.haha!

Batu seremban was one of the D.I.Y game i made before as well. I will use the scattered cloth stuffed with red & green bean sew it up in triangle form. Pepsi cola 123 also one of the coolest game we had during our high school time.

At that point of time, I also remembered the guys will buy a set collection of rubber with country flags to play. It is exactly same as shown in the video.

I need to check whether my diary book is still at home or being throw away. I still remember we will have our empty book to be filled by our classmates during the last day of the school of the year. We paste stickers to beautify our wall post in the book which currently everyone is using it as FB. haha! It is really alike to link them both together...

7 Steps to Happiness

Came across this and decided to have it here in my blog corner. I was chatting away with a moody and emotional friend one night.i found this in one of quotes after that and send it to her the next day. It gives her a smile back to me :)

1:Think Less, Feel More
Frankly speaking, I always think a lot. I think how can i feel good?How can i be better?How can i grow my money? how this and that so often that and eventually make myself feeling bad in the end. I was too obsessed thinking of how this and that without conclusion and this caused troubled in the end :( I ought to learn not to think so much and feel what got within myself and make myself feel good. Sometimes ignorance is a bliss perhaps or even better cause you will feel better in person.

2: Frown Less, Smile More
Frowning is always a yes situation when it happens in work or something troubling you. I guess i frown a lot lately due to my current job. I need to learn to smile more instead. Smile is priceless but people tend to take it for granted. Smiling does provides certain extent of magic in life i would say. Smile makes people surrounding you to be happy and makes you to feel happy somehow. Don't you think so?

3:Talk Less, Listen More
Talking does need to pay so do listening. But talking gives you the tendency to create attention and being an attention seeker is very hard to sit down and be a listener. Talk less will have less offender and less conflicts and even less arguments. Conflicts and arguments will lead to unhappiness. So sometimes talk less doesn't mean that you are in disadvantage though. Listening requires a lots of patience within and i think i need more training in this part.

4:Judge Less, Accept More
People tend to judge among ourselves. However, familiar phrase will " Never judge a book by its cover". Judgement will leads to perceptions and unhappiness. You will judge by the person's appearance and the way they react or act not having to know the whole facts of the person. This is human being. Judging has always been part of our life. Accepting people for who they are and what they are ain't an easy task to be done. Why can the loved ones can accept one another because there is love within each other. But why can't we accept the weakness of other people then? Why can't we accept the way how our friend behave? Not everyone has a generous heart to accept how their friends, families, colleagues and strangers. The judging takes place when there is no room of acceptance of the behavior and unhappiness are then created. Accepting people for who they are makes everyone comfortable with one another and harmony grows within. Thus, happiness grows eventually. I always tell myself not to judge but somehow I admit i do judge people when I can't stand how they react. But then i will ask myself. "She is such behavior and always like that. Why you want to bother and insist of it?" Then this gives me a second thought and i should just learn to accept the way it is. Maybe not immediately but gradually.

5:Watch Less, Do More
When people start to watch, comments will come into picture. Then sometimes comments are quite hurtful and offensive. Thus, instead of watching, do more of what you need to do. Watching people argue over the matter does it benefits you? Why not just continue to do what you are doing and get back to your own business? This is not true in reality as curiosity kills and people tend to be quite over concern over arguments issues.

6:Complain Less, Appreciate More
Singaporean loves to complain which is very true.You can always see in news in singapore or stomp singapore. However, some complaints do benefits depending on situations. Complaints have become a habit though to certain people. Not everyone will learn how to appreciate things and people surrounding. Appreciation is hard to recognize and only started to cherish when things happen. Usually it will be too late by then.

7:Fear Less, Love More
I still learning to love myself better. I admit i have fearful within myself which also partly due to thinking some irrelevant issues. Fear of this or that will lead to unhappiness. Fear not being care by someone, fear of being lost and much more. Sometimes it's hard not to be fear as it just happen. Hard to describe the feeling of it but loving own self will be the best way to make yourself be happy.

7 steps of happiness and not easy to apply it in life though.
Nevertheless let it be a reminder on and off to step into happiness.

Words

Came across this quote in FB and it stirred up my thoughts. So here i am to pen down my thoughts while waiting for my laundry to be done. It is expected to be done in 45 minutes.

This week has been extremely crazy for me working in an environment which is superb hectic and overwhelming problems arising. I seems to be trained as a problem solver for the issues arising. Tough but challenging, interesting but problematic, complicated but easy? Sound contradicting, right? Sometimes words cannot expressed the exact feeling in our true heart. Be it in work or any issues. All are in our part parcel of life.

Words can used to express it in a beautiful way and maybe another way round. But anyhow words can never replace our inner feelings in our heart as sometimes the true feeling or even mind we had cannot be describe with the words. We cannot find the exact word to describe it thoroughly.

Human are such a sophisticated creature. We or maybe i should said myself always make things sound complicated but at certain point of time when we thought back it wasn't that bad at all. The mind is keep changing as we have different point of views at each point of time. Not sure whether you guys get what i mean but it's more of the way we perceive it or even handle it.

Feelings cannot be describe in words. We need to use our heart to feel it but we need words to beautify it to make us feel wonderful.Don't you agree? The feeling is more of mixed feelings in our inner which is very vulnerable and fragile. Once you feel it,you will either happy or get hurt in the end. These cannot be explain by words. There is no why cannot be explain as it really the fact that cannot be explained.

Why bother explaining 'why'? We only answer to our self after all. Just like struggling with the angel and demon within own self. My angel and demon always bicker over it because i always have the 'WHY' in me.

Prioritize

Extremely busy with work ever since i started working on my new job. I used to on the dock knock off time person from my previous jobs. But my current job requires to work late almost everyday due to project basis or even tender. It is totally new job nature for me and everything is new to me. I think i can be connected as a working machine. I don't even have time to go toilet or a drink. Time flies very fast when i work here.

I guess i am chasing time for time now instead of time chasing me. I know i sound exaggerate but truly to me i think is absolutely true. I seriously need to think how to balance my current working life. Life is hectic and i need to learn how to balance it. Saying always easier which i always use it as a phrase. Applying the truth fact ain't easy at all. Mindset is superb hard to subdue.lolz.

Sometimes in life we need to learn how to prioritize and weigh whichever important.What is your prioritize for now? In terms of long term and short term. What you really want and what i really want? Prioritize needed in certain circumstances and perhaps all the time especially when u face problems. Even in work, you need to prioritize which comes first and which is important. How things work and how it turn out may not be the one we wish it will happen.

I have many things in mind. List of things to do and also how am i going to achieve them? I admit i am a greedy person who wants everything i wish to have in my list but i know it is impossible. Sumtimes it is not whether you want to do it or not but is how you gonna do it. I always have doubt in myself and questions keep popping out in my mind with all the 'IF' and 'HOW' and 'WHY'. If things remain like this, it will be great as things move on. But reality isn't that way.

Sumtimes people will get lost not knowing the path taken wasn't the initially they prioritize or set earlier. It's like you enter into a beautiful cottage and get distracted with the fancy decorations and you get lost with the initial purpose of getting in. It's like you initial want to have chocolate ice-cream when you enter to the ice-cream shop but you are tempted with the mango sorbet and end up having that instead of your initial craving of chocolate. It's like full of temptations along the way and how you going to resist it or get it over.

Gonna be end of the year soon and hope things pick up slowly and steady. I learned to lay back slowly and observe what i lost and pick up from there or i would say cherish people who surrounded me when i needed them the most and the important ones in my life. At some point you have to make decision and boundaries don't keep us out. Life can be messy if you want it or not. Life can be pleasant the way you want it to be depending on how to prioritize and take view from different aspects.

TLC Promise Me-For the Children of Rumah Aman

Grateful & Content

Jacy invited me to be helper for the "Big Day" today. She has been servicing for the elderly ministry at her church for the past 2 years. She is truly a devoted one. I am glad she gave me an opportunity to join them today. So basically it is wholly a new experience for me. We went to ubi estate to pick up the elderly. The elderly are mostly have illness and need to be in wheel chair all the time.

The ubi estate hdb flats are basically very small. They are staying at either 2-room flats or 1 room flat. And based on Jacy, some even filled up to 10 ppls in a flat.Can you imagine that?Each of them has their own stories. The sight of them reminds me of my grandparents.
Didn't really have the chance to take picture so just a few photos to share. Basically we have to hold them hand to hand and bring them up to the bus and head to the destination. As u know old folks hands and legs are no energy. They need wheel chair or 'tongkat' to hold them.

The church has get ready the bus and drive us to jurong west to attend the concert prepared by the church members. It is truly like a concert hosted by super stars. They have a beautiful voice and wonderful performance. Everyone is enjoying. We need to make sure everything is well-organized. We need to bring them to toilet when they need help throughout the performance and whatever help they needed.

View of the audience..It is so magnificent to gather 1100 old folks from all over the singapore to gather together to watch the performance.

The 2 hours of performance makes everyone face grinning over and back home happily. Each of the elderly was given a pack of dinner and back home by bus.

Seeing them and their living condition makes me feel that i am thankful for what i have now. The elder peoples are all very pity. There is an elder lady speaks hokkien with me telling me her story. Her marriage was arranged by her parents back in China and she was married to Singapore at the age of 13. She told me that she was shipped here and she got 6-7 children at the age of 21 years old. Can you imagine our grandparents generation was all about giving birth and arranged marriage and nothing else?As for our generation now, either late marriage or remain single or even divorce. Divorce cannot be found in our grandparents generation at all. One of her grandchildren is staying with her in her 2 room flats and the great grandchildren has to sleep on the floor and the furniture is not fully furnished. Her house grip door is broken and unable to lock. This is the life that she is staying now. She told me that her daughter is addict to gamble and always lost money and keep gambling. Sound very sad that a 91 years old auntie has to worry for her children. Her sons are either in china or other part of singapore where they seldom or maybe didn't visit her. She told me is her fate to have a poor life.

When i reached her place, we need to hold her hand and slowly bring her towards her wheel chair.Not even that as she has problems with urine. She even needs a diaper on it. We need to help her to put on before she can go out of the house. She is very happy to see us. The old lady told me that she can only come out from the house when we fetch her out. The only time she can see her friends when she is out. She is happy with it.

Being contented is so simple to her. Why we always want to make things complicated?I know i always do as i keep popping questions out to myself. But seeing them today hearing their stories and their simple request compared to my own issues are totally way so inferior. Being grateful and content to what we have and people around us is just awesome. Words unable to describe it but the feelings are there for you and me to feel it. Hope i can arrange my time to join jacy on the sun outing with the elderly.

However my own grandparents need to sought attention as well. Time really not enough especially weekend is so precious that i need to balance out the time for the things i want to do.

Good start for the month of aug with a nice service today teaching me to be grateful and contented. I know it all along just that along the way things like today is just to remind us or should i said remind myself there are people who are worse than me but still happy and grateful day by day. Just a simple thought or a simple action does change the whole thing.

Came across this short film that warms and touches my hearts when i watched it.It is not easy to bump into someone you love in life hoping that he will love you as much as you does and accept who you are.


Accepting who you are is not easy but if the person love you,he will even you act foolish in front of him. You just feel comfortable and be yourself leaving yourself defensive towards him.Thus, the hurt is deepen when it comes to failure in the end.


Love can be beautiful when both parties being together enjoying moments and share the common language.Even though you are throwing tantrums,being foolish and childish in certain ways in front of your partner.Hoping for more attentions despite the foolish acts you made.

"Strangers, again" -Stages of Relationships


Every relationship goes through stages. Where and how each stage develops is ultimately up to each person. While we always hope for the best, we often can't avoid the inevitable.

However the bottom line is that one of it has put a full stop.It's all about how both works together to fix all the impossible to possible as long as both love and care for each other.
