Birthday Celebration @ Nabins

Finally i have the chance to post about my surprise birthday celebration which happened exactly a month ago.It was singapore national day eve and i wasn't expecting any big gathering. It was just dinner date with HP & Qin. I didn't feel anything weird with the combination so i invited Yunita along for dinner as well. So they decided to have dinner at Bugis area. So they lead me to the dinner venue, Nabins @ Bali Lane.

The restaurant has the arabic- oriental style theme.
It has first and second levels of dinning place.
The place is cosy with sofas and cushion for each dinning seats.

It was indeed a surprise when i went up to second level. My sisters, cousins and friends are there already. They are waiting for me to arrive. Aww...it was very sweet surprise! Thanks to the organizer and their efforts to attend the surprise together.

Birthday cupcakes from Twelve Cupcakes
It was colourful cupcakes and with different flavors.

Since my sister's Laurel birthday falls on the following day, we celebrated together.
Justin got us the tag with 'LAM' which is a brilliant one. We had everyone's wishes and greetings which made me feel so blessed and warmth feeling.

Photos with the guests of the night.

Group photo of the day which everyone present...

Foods that we had on that day. It was quite heavy dinner. Since it is an arabic restaurant, it served more of carnivor categories. The foods are quite dried and the price is a bit pricey as well. Nevertheless the overall foods are acceptable. The serving time is quite slow as well. I remembered vividly that the waiting time was more than 20 minutes.

Dinner was pleasant with good companion. I was grateful that everyone is willing to gather together. We headed for second round after the dinner. Chloe needs to go back early so she left us earlier before the dinner ended. We headed to Chijmes for a drink before we end the night.

Post Celebration for Angel @ Hangang Korean Restaurant

This post happened on 20th July which i know it is superb outdated. Pardon me being slow like a tortoise updating my blog. I been busy working OT almost everyday. So my youngest sis was telling us that her 18th birthday will be very plain because it happens on weekdays and we are not at home to celebrate for her. So we (my 2 other sisters and me) decided to have a post birthday celebration for her on friday night.
Rachel bought a deal for the dinner celebration. The name of the restaurant of this place is not the same as the name stated in the deal voucher that she purchased. It's named HanKang Korean BBQ Restaurant on the deal but the signage outside the restaurant is named HanGang restaurant.
It's kinda disappointing when i arrive the place. It is reachable by taking MRT to Little India Station and Exit A to reach the restaurant. It is a short walking distance when you exit from Exit A and basically the restaurant is located at the back lane. It's not easy to be notice as you don't expect the restaurant is near to the dustbins and rubbish at the back lane.

The foods are totally disappointing as well. You can see from the picture by yourself. The food varieties are limited as well. The pancake is simply tasteless and the noodles are like maggi mee taste only. There are flies flying around the serving table and you need to be alert to shake them all away so that you can have your dinner.

Basically i only eat BBQ chicken with white rice for the whole dinner. The frozen chicken and pork are the only choice that i can go for to have my dinner.

One thing to note that the place is not air-condition and only ceiling fans and standing fans to support the ventilation area.

The space between the tables are quite squeezy as well.
We don't really enjoyed the dinner.
So we headed to Bugis+ (formerly known as Illuma) for movie treat to the birthday girl. We watched Abraham Lincoln : Vampire Hunter which ended around 11 plus and i managed to catch the last bus back to home. Luckily still can save money on the cab fare :p

We watched the movie at FilmGarde and had bad experience with the staff attitude. Nevertheless the management has provided us a complimentary movie ticket as a token of appreciation on the feedback. It was quite a surprised for us that they do really value customers' feedback and provide the appropriate action over it.

Ended my post with my sis grumpy face as she can't watch the movie she wanted that night. Oh man... time flies! She is a big girl now!

Crazyworld Cafe @ Temple Street

Celebrated 3 April babies' birthday at Crazyworld Cafe located at Temple Street, Chinatown. Thie cafe has a whimsical charm as it has historical hub of Singapore. You can reminsce your childhood memories in this cafe. The space of the cafe is limited as it only can display not more than 10 tables if i remembered clearly.

Once you open the doors of the cafe, you see there are racks for books, vintage radios, racks for locally cut albums and small note books as well.  The cafe also host events to various local labels and talents. For more information, please check out their website here.

As for the food choices, i don't see much preferences. We don't really enjoyed the foods serve. So don';t have high hopes on their foods standards. Nevertheless it is a comfortable place to a little escape from the hustle city.

Thanks to Justin for bring us here for the celebration and gathered so many friends to attend the birthday celebration. He even bought the cupcakes for the april babies. The cupcakes are from Oni cupcakes and it turned out to be delicious. Everyone has one cupcake to taste and enjoy after the birthday song.
