Arnold's Fried Chicken for Lunch

Ever since we have a new colleague joined us, he always think of driving out to look for nice and affordable food. We went to Arnold's Fried Chicken located at City Plaza for lunch. I only came to know about the existence of the fastfood restaurant from the mouth of colleague. Surprisingly Arnold's has a long history back then.

It was long queue when we reach around 1plus. Never did i expect the queue was so long. We waited for about 15 minutes to get a seat. So, while we are waiting for our seat, we ordered our choice while waiting for the seats.

Finally we got our seats and waiting for our foods to be served.
Photos taken using iPhone 4s for your viewing pleasure:-

The foods are served pipping hot! The spring chicken skin is very crispy and the meat is tender and soft as well. The taste is different from KFC and McDonalds. It is also the preferences for Malays. My Malay colleagues are in love with Arnold's. I can see that there have many Malay customers patronizing the outlet when we were there.

The plain bread is slightly oily a bit but it's still taste good when we have it with the coleslaw and mashed potatoes. I personally think the bread is softer than KFC bread though.

The mashed potatoes tasted like Popeye's version and similar to 7-eleven quick bite mashed potato. Coleslaw taste similar to KFC and not much big differences.

Overall the taste is acceptable like any other fastfoods but the size of the chicken is quite small compared to KFC. As for the price wise, it's slightly pricey for me if we order individually. The price range per pax is around S$7 and above for the foods & drinks.

Domino's Pizza is the Ultimate Choice

It has been ages since I last tried Domino's Pizza.
It was truly a sinful experience where we are served with various choice of pizza and ala carte from Domino. Extremely Sinful especially the Lava Chocolate !!

Thanks to omy.sg for inviting us to Domino Pizza for food tasting sessions. It was pleasure to attend the event and meet up new friends aka bloggers.

We were brief on the introduction of Domino's Pizza first. It is founded in 1960 and is the recognized world leader in pizza delivery. Domino's is the world's leading pizza delivery company committed to the leading the industry in product quality and operational excellence.

Do you know that Domino's Pizza was named 2010 "Chain of the Year" by Pizza Today magazine? And there are 13 stores in the island now and they are expanding more throughout the island of Singapore by end of the year. Domino's is the first pizza company in Singapore to introduce the 'GPS Tracker' or the 'Great Pizza Service Tracker' which allows customers the added convenience to keep tabs on the status of their food order from the moment it is ordered, processing, packing and delivery. With the help of the advance GPS tracker, you won't need to worry anymore of miss out orders or even lost order.

(Pictures shown below for your illustration)

Domino's provides 4 key selling prepositions to its' customers:-
  1. 30 minutes delivery guarantee; 15 minute takeout guarantee. If they are unable to deliver on time, customers will be given FREE pizza.
  2. Product satisfaction guarantee. Eg. if you find that the pizza is lack of cheese etc, Domino's will compensate the new pizza for FREE
  3. Free delivery to your doorstep with delivery charges when you place an order
  4. Nett pricing and no additional charges included

Did I mention that when you order online, you will enjoy discounts on the ala carte items? It's truly an added bonus to online customers. The online features also allow you to place an order in advance as in few days later delivery to your doorsteps. This is extremely useful if you are going to have events or parties at home and you know you will be very busy on that particular day and you may miss out some of the stuffs.

Order arrived on time and bloggers start to snap photos away.

Extravaganzza in crunchy thin crust which is quite spicy for me.

Classfied Chicken in Crunchy Thin Crust
Smoked chicken breast, onions and mushrooms on top of the thin crust.
It's one of my favourite list and you just can't stop having it once you started. It's addiciton.

The golden roasted drumlets which are nicely baked and served pipping hot in the packaging

Garlic Cheese Onion Rings.
It is baked and not being fried at all. But nevertheless the taste is still as par quality with the fried ones.

Crazy Chicken Crunchies (Tom Yam flavor)
The ala carte is paired with the salsa sauce with turn out to be quite nice. The chicken crunchies do not taste dry if you intend to have it without sauce.

Hawaiian Paradise which consists of 100% mozzarella cheese with smoked chicken breast, turkey ham and pineapple. This is majority all time favourite and suits the taste buds of Asian people.
It's also the new launched product Ultimate Hawaiian Pizza!!

Meatzza which consists of Smoked Chicken Breast, Turkey Ham, Chicken Sausage, Cabanossi, Beef Pepperoni & Ground Beef

This is the highlight of the day. I superb in love with the Lava Chocolate Cake. You can't resist the temptations to finish everything in a second. The serving is generous and it is still warm when it deliver over. Not to mention that if you order online, you will be enjoying 50% which is not applicable if you having take away.

Freshness Burger

Freshness Burger @ Causeway Point. My sis and i was at Woodlands last sun morning and we decided to give it a try. It is a self-service outlet where we need to order on our own. Basically fastfood outlets similiar to McD and KFC.

I opt for the bacon omelette burger and side order is the fresh avocado salad with tomatoes and the dressing is refreshing. I like the salad taste. As for the burger, nothing special on the taste. But they do prepare the burgers on the spot as it served hot to us.
Close up picture of the burger. It looks like Ramly burger right from here?

Favourite freshness salad.

Sister ordered teriyaki chicken burger with fried potatoes (hokkaido farm) for her choice of side order. The potatoes taste plain and u must have it with chili sauce or whatever sauces to go with it only edible.

The burger costs SGD3.50, side order depending on which choices as the price is vary starting from SGD2.80 and above. You can see the menu from the website for the choices available.

The outlet in causeway point is full of flies. You can basically see flies flying around the tables. Their pest control service is not in control and i think they should take noted the hygiene issues.

Saturday Morning

I was supposed to go to Singapore after work yesterday but i was held up by a talk and reached home 7 plus. I became lazy and tired so postpone my trip to next day. I dragged myself from my cozy bed and woke up 6.30am to get ready to go to singapore. It was quite surprising as i only took around 30mins to reach kranji mrt. It was a quick one. Waited for my sis to meet me at marsiling mrt and we went off to toa payoh post office and breakfast.

Sometimes i wonder why i need to continue with this but then at least i'm finding ways to enrich my time and   also my portfolio. So although sometimes is quite tiring and discouragement saying so much hassle etc, i still continue it as a little voice asking me to carry on.

Pictures taken using my sis iphone application called instagram. I love the effects of the photos and it is so convenient that once you capture the photo, you can immediately upload to your fb,twitter, blog and others which u can just update your current status. How advance the technology now.Too bad i still cant bring myself to buy touch-screen hp although quite tempting. My hp still can use.hehe!

Customers Parcels
One thing good about Singpost is that they do open during weekends especially Sunday so i won't face much difficulties on wondering how to post my stuffs to customers. So after i'm done with my parcel posting, we headed for breakfast.

This is our first time having breakfast at Burger King. Basically the breakfast sets are quite similar with Mcd. We ordered scrambled egg with the choice of bacon and drink and another set of croissant 'wich' turkey ham that comes with the choice of tea or coffee. We also add on additional SGD0.50 for hashbrown.

The breakfast was awesome with company of course. It has been quite sometime since i have this feeling.Maybe because i'm currently working in Malaysia. The feeling and environment totally different. It is kinda relax enjoying breakfast looking at people walking by and just sit down and laze around for a while.

Basically i spent 3hours in Singapore today to get my things down and enjoy a pleasant breakfast before i headed back home to do chores.

So how you spent your weekend?
