Thanks for Omy & Domino's for the movie screening night on Friday night.
It was a pleasant treat to bring along a partner for the movie screening so i invited Jacqueline along. The registration starts at 7.30pm and we got our movie tickets and off for a quick bite.

This photo is a bit out of shape and blurry.
But it's the only photo of us attending the event together :(

We headed to the cinema approximately 8.45pm and the movie starts at 9pm. It's the collaboration between the Domino's Pizza with The Dark Knight Rises. Domino's is extending the movie treat to bloggers and pizza fans. In conjunction for this movie, fans were able to get their hands on the specially commissioned Limited Edition The Dark Knight Rises glass with a purchase of The Dark Knight meal.

We were lucky enough to be given the limited edition of The Dark Knight Rises glass and also the posters of the main actors and actress.

Before the movie starts, Domino's representative gave us an appreciation speech. We were given a FOC one regular pizza voucher as a token of appreciation as well.

A photo of us before the movie starts in the cinema.

The movie lasts for 2 hours and 30 minutes and our movie is ended at 12.00am.
It was a nice movie and worth while to watch. Christian Bale is very manly and played the role very well. He displayed the never say die determination to save the city of Gotham and i personally think the story is well written and played.

Synopsis of the movie  (Taken from yahoo movies) :-
With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent, Batman sets out to destroy organized crime in Gotham for good. The triumvirate proves to be effective but they soon find themselves prey to a rising criminal mastermind known as the Joker, who thrusts Gotham into anarchy and forces the Dark Knight ever closer to crossing the line between hero and vigilante.

The casts are :-

Christian Bale : Bruce Wayne/ Batman
Michael Caine : Alfred
Anne Hathaway : Selina, Selina Kyle
Gary Oldman: Commissioner Gordon, Gordon
Joseph Gordon-Levitt: Blake, John Blake

Singapore Twitter Frenzy with Sentosa

Thanks to Omy for the invitation to the award ceremony for Singapore Twitter Frenzy last saturday. It was quite a surprise as i receive the invitation from twitter first. So I was allowed to bring a guest along and i invited Beansprout together. She was excited to join the ceremony with me as it is held at Wavehouse Sentosa.

Upon arriving, we were given few sentosa brochures and also the limited edition of Sentosa badge. Each of us was given a ticket of an hour ride of FLOWBARREL. Awesome isn't it?

The event includes the lucky draw and stage games. The prizes include Island memberships, Play Passes and digital cameras!Too bad we didn't get the chance to win it. We also took picture of the banner to try our luck to win some prizes. But too bad fail!

Photos of the day:-

It was a pleasant day as we managed to meet Silver Ang in real person. She is adorable and full of smile on her faces. We approached her after the event to get a snap. She is a blogger too and she blogs here.

It is also my first time being amazed by the wonderful voice of local Youtube celebrity Shimona Kee. She was the performer of the event. She sings very well. We even played games with her through twitter. Whoever gets the correct answer is able to get a copy of her album CD. She is a sweet person as well.

Here's the twitter username.
You guys can add her from the below picture shown.

After the event, we went strolling along the beach. There is nothing much to be seen so we headed off to Vivo City for a quick bite. That's where our friendship starts to grow. It's quite weird for me to phrase it such way but then we found out that we shared similarities in mindset. So hopefully we can have more outings together next time :)

We ended off the outing with the belgium waffle with vanilla ice-cream.
It was a good recommendation from Beansprout and definitely will go for more next round.

Here is the song that i fall in love with Shimona's work.
Do take some time to listen and definitely a pleasant one :)

Panasonic x Omy.sg x Albert Court Village Hotel

It was a fruitful last weekend. I had the opportunity to attend the "Photos make your Blogs go Pop!" workshop organized by omy.sg at Albert Court Village Hotel. The boutique hotel comprises restored pre-war shophouses with Straits Chinese Cravings and motifs. The hotel is bounded by Short Street, Rochor Canal Road and Selegie Road. The strategic area of the hotel is surrounded with Singapore's culture  and commercially- vibrant areas. Located at the central hub of Singapore the location of the hotel is one of the accommodation choice for tourists. The bouttique hotel is located near the Art Musuem, National Library, art schools, Little India and also Bugis Village.

The 3 minute walk away Sim Lim Square is one of the advantage for tech gadgets lover as well. Shopping is a must in every list of tourists as well. Bugis Street is only 10 minutes walk away where you can find a collection of shops selling apparels, accessories and many more. Waterloo Street which is also known as mini Chinatown is also a walking distance away from the hotel.

As people always say, photo paints a thousand words.
Photos below are taken using Panasonic Lumix GF5 and no edit was made:-

There is a bar counter opposite the reception counter of the hotel as well

The workshop was held at the meeting room and we were served refreshments before we set off for the photo taking session. The meeting room was nicely arranged and each table was served mineral water.

Thanks to Christine & Jerome for their sharing on how to take photo go POP! It's really true that photo can tell a story.Sometimes words are difficult to express with so it's better to let the photo do the talking for us.

After the refreshment and briefing session, we are prepared for a tour to Little India with our sponsored loan camera to do the snapping and capturing the moments.

Photos taken just right outside the hotel with one of the feature : expression art filter
Love the brightness and colour filter output of the snaps.

Do feel free to comment on the photos.

Sometimes i wish i can be like the bird to be able to fly and soar the sky...

The whole session was great. Everyone is snapping away with the Lumix camera during the photo taking and trying out the features of the camera. It was a user- friendly camera and everyone is able to snap without worries. I personally love the expression art filter, one-point colour filter and also the iA+ feature. I love the colour output of the photo.

The workshop ended with a nice cup of cocktail served by the hotel. It comes just in time after our 1 hour photo session out of the hotel.

Once again, thanks to Albert Court Village Hotel for the servings and panasonic with omy for organizing the event.
