Brunch with Antipodean @ Bangsar

We headed for brunch the next day noon to be exact. I finally get the chance to patronize Antipodean located at Bangsar Baru. I seen many good reviews through the website and looking forward to explore the culture cafe. The cafe has the similar concept like Wild Honey in Singapore. So, you can imagine the concept behind.

Antipodean - pronounced "an.tip.o.de.an" (adj) means:-

(1) coming from or relating to Australia or New Zealand

(2) Ancient Greek: anti "opposed" pous "foot" opposite points on the globe.

The cafe was already occupied by crowds and we are in the waiting list. We waited for approximately 15 minutes to get a seat. The queue is like never ending so you can imagine the business is booming.

The lists of foods & drinks menu are all scribbled with chalk across the board of the cafe wall. We have difficulties looking at the menu as the place is already crowded with people and we need to stand and turn our heads around up and down, here and there to see the available choices. It would be best to have the hard copy of the menu on hand so that we can flip it and choose carefully.

Big Breakfast @ RM19 per serving. The combination of toast bacon with scrambled eggs and sauteed mushroom. The portion was just nice but it's overdose of scrambled eggs for me as i can't finish it all. Taste is as good as it looks.The scarmbled eggs are moist and buttery taste and i love to eat them with the grain bread.

Scrambled eggs salmon with toast @ RM19 per serving. The combination of the salmon with scrambled eggs to go with the fresh salads and grain bread does give a choice for salmon lover. It's the choice of Elaine as she loves salmon.

It's absolutely a decent choice to hop by if you are staying in KL. Such a rare opportunity to have lovely brunch with affordable price for whole day breakfast in KL. It is lovely to have gathering and bonding session with loved ones and friends but try not to have them over the weekend as it is surely packed with people and you just have to speak slightly louder to each other.

Asides to this, no reservations are allowed and only accept walk-in customers. The customers' turnover is quite fast so it's reasonable that no reservations are allowed. So be prepare to wait a while before getting seated for your lovely brunch

Nando's Night V Old Fren

It was a fruitful weekend for the past weeks. Attending wedding dinners, being bride's sisters and having loads of fun with the games. I spent my last weekend at Bandung attending one of my colleague, Yunita's wedding with my colleagues and Beansprout. Took a day leave on friday for sight seeing and will share in the next post. 

It was a sudden decision to have dinner with ssc. He said want to treat me as my belated birthday but i feel bad that he treats whenever we meet so this time round i will play the host then. Since Alex (sis's bf) had a complimentary voucher, we headed to Nando's for dinner. The best part is that i am late for almost an hour. Luckily ssc is patient to wait for me. Thanks to my friends who understand me :)

As usual, we ordered 1/4 quarter chicken with 2 sidelines. It's my all time choice whenever i pay visit to the restaurant.

Good old friend of 13 years and counting.. It was really a valuable friend that we gone through ups and downs, happiness and disappointments throughout the phases of life. Words cannot describe the feelings that i have with this fren of mine and Ju as well. The bonding we had together. I am fortunate to have friends that are able to stick together for many years although we are apart from each other. Ju is married with 2 kids and 1 is on his way to the world and SSC is quite successful pathing his career path and busy with work. Both are wonderful people whom know me well and tolerate with my nonsenses and immature thinking sometimes. Both whom i show the vulnerable side of myself and share the thoughts together. 

Each single friend is valuable to me. Everyone shares the equally importance in part of my journey of life. I have friends whom i can sought for guidance and think of whenever i saw stuffs or even appear in my mind. Friends images popped up to my mind and definitely is a treasure memories i able to carry with me along the journey.

Sometimes we don't spill things out so transparently but we do understand what we are trying to say or express. It's not easy to come by friends like this and i am thankful i found u guys :)

Happy Friendship to my friends. It doesn't matter how long we met but the bonding we have and the sharing we have are more value than anything else. Friends shape part of our happiness and sadness. They build you up and shape you to make you be a better and beautiful person. They will not pressure and no jealousy filled in their heart. You can only find the calmness and feeling gratitude having them around you. You will eventually feel happy together with them when you see them successful in their life. 

Sweet Sweet Tooth Dessert @ Marina Square

Today is the day a young lady who overcome challenges ahead and working towards her happiness. Thanks for being there as a patient listener for me and provide me positive energy when i am down and learn through the heaps of obstacles through these few years.

This dessert shop is recommended by her when we met at Marina Square on early August. It's her date with the bf and it is a good place for sweet tooth session as well. It is absolutely taste like the name of the dessert shop.

Aug Babies

Chocolate fondant @ S$7.90 

Warm self saucing cake with green tea ice-cream. I always tried chocolate brownie with vanilla ice-cream. But i never expect the combination with green tea ice-cream would turn out to be perfectly yummy as well. Warm chocolate cake with the cold ice-cream blend into your mouth. Aww...saliva is drooling now!

The owner recommended Aussie Pavlova @ S$6.90 per serving

Meringue with whipped cream, fresh fruits, passion fruit pulp sauce. It's full of sweetness but not overdose. Personally feel refresh with the fruits to compel with the whipped cream. You won't feel so fattening in terms of psychology minds?haha! I totally buy over by this dessert.

Dinner at Crystal Jade @ Suntec City Mall

It was a lovely friday last week as i met up with 2 buddies for dinner and hang out chit chatting. Hock Thiam was in business trip to Singapore and called up SSC for dinner. SSC whatsapp me and so here we have threesome together having dinner at Crystal Jade @ Suntec City Mall.

We ordered set menu for 2 pax with additional soup serving and plain rice.

Luckily the portion of the foods are enought for 3 persons as we are struggling to finish up the dishes.

Green vegetable with the soup base to go with the plain rice.

Chicken soup with herbal ingredients in. The soup is oily from the surface but the taste is good. It is brewed with strong taste not commercial taste which is tasteless.

Roasted chicken with char siew which the meat is tender and chewy.

Vegetables with prawn and cuttlefish.

Sweet & Sour Pork which taste exactly the name of the dish. I would prefer they present the pork with smaller portion as it is a big too much for a slice for me.

Lastly we have desserts which the 2 guys choose to have red bean soup and I got myself mango pudding. The overall dinner is nice with the food and also the services. The staffs are prompt to respond and also servings.

No much comment of the restaurant as i find it moderate and no special addictive to the food here. It's not the restaurant is not nice but it serves quality foods to customers.

I was more into the conversation together with friends that night. So many years of friendship and the feeling is still the same except the time flies and we aged. The maturity grow together with time and the conversation is mature then :)

Old Buddies

Headed to Secret Receipe @ KT for a tea break and meet up session with the guys. We ordered the chocolate banana cake & marble cheesecake on that day. The taste is just as fine as any other Secret Recipe branches where else.

Supposedly to meet up Rui on the fifth day of CNY but he was not around and postponed to the following day. So coincidence that Wei Chien is back to KT so rui gathered the rest to meet up in the afternoon. Everyone is late and i was the earliest waiting for the guys to arrive. Basically when they said 3pm means 3.30pm at their timing.

Had lotsa catch up over the tea break. These guys are such adored. They keep asking me to lower down the expectation and worry for me. I am so honored to have friends like these. Such a rare case as guys usually don't ask such stuffs. I think i am like buddy to them.

Nice companion, nice chit chat and good exposure and understanding the circle of life. We talked many stuffs. We talked about stages of life and what are the things that we are going through now. All already grown ups and have their own family. All has their own thinking and mindsets. Things are ever changing.

Regardless the changes, family bonding remain unchanged forever. I'm glad my family practiced a good habit of having dinner together every weekend without fail. It just happened naturally that everyone is back from spore and we settled down together by evening time to dine in at home. Mum cooked and she has the best cooking skill ever. We always finished up all the dishes that she cooked because it is way to delicious to waste it.Hehe!

Bestie Hang Out

 It was a pleasant weekend after all although there is a hiccups on friday night. I was rushing off to singapore to run errands after work and caught up with jam at the customs and was late for the appointment. Thank god the customers are quite nice fellows. After the errands, i rushed over to Bugis to meet up with sisters to sign up for the phone plan but it was CLOSED!Why singtel shops closed so early even before 9.30pm.Arghh...So in the end went back home around 11.30pm and went to bed. Tiring friday night.

Received an sms from bestie on saturday and headed off to KSL to meet her.

I drove to KSL around 4pm and we hang out at Toastbox for light refreshment but doesn't stay long until her precious went actively moving here and there. I still remember vividly yann yann wasn't so actively when i last saw her during cny. Children nowadays are so active.So we had window shopping and the precious fall asleep on the arm of her mummy.I must salute Ju as she can carry her for so long and even continue shopping. She told me she is used to it already. I doubt i can do the same as her next time.

Then came her husband to meet up with her and had a chit chat session and consultation from calvin hoping i will heed it and work out on the changes.

That's all for my weekend.Nothing much except hang out on saturday with bestie and expecting to meet up with a friend on that night but there is change of plan so there it goes my weekend. How about urs?

Nuts dinner @ El migos

It was a long weekend last week and P.har aka walnut (member of nut's family) was here in JB with the bf. So we arranged to meet up with Wanteng aka peanut and her husband and son.I was late for the date for an hour as i was stucked in jam at customs. Lotsa walking as all the buses and cars are stucked not moving at all. 

As i was late and it was already 8pm,we randomly choose a restaurant in Taman Sutera Mall and it was a wrong decision after all. So we are not going to patronize the restaurant anymore although the ambience was ok.

Since Wanteng and her family has taken their dinner, so p.har and i decided to order two dishes to fill our hungry stomach.

Thin Crusted Chicken Mushroom Pizza

This is supposed to be maraconi with baked cheese. It came wrongly for the first time and we waited half an hour for the correct order to be served but in the end they still served spagethi. We were so annoyed with it and do not want to wait anymore for the order to be retify and we decided to go ahead with the spagethi.

We are extremely unpleased and they haven't started to prepare when we asked one of the waiter and she came back asking us the size of macaroni we want. In the end, macaroni became spagethi instead.

And the foods there are so-so only. Not worth patronizing here.

Went to pick up SSC with ju and yann yann and continue camwhoring with the 3 little tigers. 3 buddies for more than 10 years. Followed by photos taken 2 days later when we went to Today's Mall for movie called '天天好天'. Local production movie by local actors and actresses.

 So coincidentally met up with Pei Ling and her finance. They are getting ROM on 14th of the month. So sweet able to find partner and settle down together.
