Lee Ching- Christina Wedding

It has been a blissful september with wedding bells surrounded lately. Attended my uni mate's wedding at Kluang and had a reunion gathering with the rest of them. Some of us have not met for more than 5 years! Nevertheless our bonding remains unchanged. Everyone was shouting here and there when we met up. It reminds me of the old times. How i wish time can turn back...

Group photo of us. Everyone changed in terms of appearance and internal. But still friendship still remain unchanged. This is a good thing though.

Foods of the wedding lunch @ Kluang. The food served was delicious and fast. What i mean fast is really fast. Basically they served the second dish before we finish up the first one. We were rushing to finish it up. The wedding starts at 1.50pm and guess what? The wedding lunch ends at 3pm! The restaurant business is very good. They had 3 weddings concurrently held at this hour. The restaurant has the next session at 4pm. Thus it explains why they keep rushing us to finish up the foods.

Boon Leong served us the shark fin soup which taste really good.

This is quite special as we normally had breaded prawn with cereals. But this time round is chicken floss prawn. Not sure about the taste though but my friends feedback that it taste good as well.

Totally in love with the bun. It goes well with the pork and sauce. Tasty and thumbs up!

The last dessert come with mango and yam pudding.

With the bride. She is the most active and cheerful bride i ever met. She just be herself as usual even though during wedding lunch. She can just shout here and there and keep snapping non-stop.

Lunch ends early and our train ticket back sg was 7.25pm. Thus, we had a rest at boon leong's house before we back to reality. This is my first time taking train back to singapore. To my surprise the train arrive on time and no delay!

It was a smooth train ride back to singapore. It takes 2 hour from kluang to singapore and only stop few stops before we reach the destination.

It was tiring trip but full of laughter and fun. Hope to see everyone soon.

Kluang Famous Roasted Pork

Here is the place where we got the so called famouse roasted pork. It is opened for business at night time. It was strongly recommended by my fren to go for it. So we went over to purchase some to try how good is it.

The photos above is the end result. The pigs are hanging in the shops everywhere. Be it the raw or roasted one. We can select the parts we want and get them to chop it for us.

Saw all the pigs that has been slaughter and hanging? It was huge and you can see all the blood clots as well.

The workers are cutting the parts of the pigs and get it roasted for the following stage.

The roasted pig which is hanging at the height of a man. Seems cruel eating them but it really taste good. The meat is tender and soft. It is truly QQ and fresh as well.

I sound addicted to get everything posted here. But it is rare to have me walking into market place and get everything picture into it.

Kluang RailCoffee

It was my first trip to Kluang last week to attend my uni mate wedding dinner. I took a bus from larkin to kluang and it takes 2 hours journey to reach the destination. The ticket only costs RM9.80 one way ticket.

Wedding was on sunday noon so we headed for breakfast to fill our stomach. Boon Leong brought us to the famous Kluang Rail Coffee cafe. The original one is located at the ktm station. Yeah you're right. There is a railway station at Kluang. I also get to know about it when he mentioned. Anyway, we went to the branch so it has bigger space to fit more customers.

View of the cafe. It is crowded with people and they provide WIFI services as well. But too bad it is damn slow and we (my uni mates and me) cannot connect at all.

Traditional coffee shop is a must to order toast bread with Kopi-O or Teh. Crispy toast on the outer layer and butter kaya to go with it.

Healthy wheat roti bun with butter and kaya.Exact description will need to refer to the menu. The taste difference is the bread they used but the butter and kaya taste same for all toast breads.

Roti bun butter and kaya. The bun looks very big here due to the angle view. Fret not the portion is just nice to fit the serving plate.

Everyone is enjoying the traditional breakfast.

Nasi Lemak ayam-Ordered by Wei ren. He said taste delicious. The serving is appropriate as well.

Boon Yi choice-Mee Siam. Thumbs up i would say. We ordered second round as we can't stop craving for it when we finished the first serving.

Kampung half boiled egg which looks perfectly half boiled from the picture. The colour of the egg yolk is very beautiful and taste good. I know it is not good to have egg yolk due to high cholesterol. Once in a while we just can't help with it :p

Mee soup. No much comment on this. Taste is fine and served hot.

Mee Rebus by Soo shin. I prefer my hometown mee rebus as the sauce is much more tastier. As for this one, i think the taste is quite plain but overall is acceptable.

Lontong!It has been such a long time since i ate lontong. I don't take with chilli so the taste is rather plain. But my frens enjoyed it and finished it up.

Total spend on the morning was RM54 for 5 pax.

The price is quite reasonable for 5 persons sharing. We ordered varieties of foods to enjoy together and everyone get a chance to taste it. I think it is wonderful.
