December Weddings

24th December 2011 marks the big day for Vina.

She is actually my senior in my first job in singapore. She is such an adorable , smart, pretty lady that i get in touch with when i start working in foreign country. She is a cheerful lady and i'm glad she found her love. Did i mentioned that she is an indonesian chinese? She is married to Malaysian guy from KL. So sweet of them but too bad i cannot attend their wedding at KL.

Neverthless, i wish them a blissful marriage and embark to the new beginning of the stage!

2 days later which is on 26th December 2011 -Boxing Day is my secondary school best mate's wedding. She is an awesome lady and i see her achievement all the way and she is an independent lady. I managed to attend her wedding as it is held in JB. Just in time to witness her happiness before i headed back singapore for the usual routine.

Picture taken using iphone with instagram effects. I'm glad to have Alice to join in as well. I still remember en ling and alice were top academic students. Both of them has healthy competition and maintain good results during primary and secondary school time.

It was a nice gathering as i managed to catch up with Michelle. She is engaged on 30th December which appeared in the fb status now. The bf gave her a surprise. So sweet. I got to know her through English camp during primary school but not sure which year. It was a pleasant experience as we were still small and only few chinese students were selected for the english camp. That's the reason why we get to know each other.

Wedding lunch was nice. The foods are presentable and acceptable. Love the companions and glad to witness friend's happiness. This marks the last wedding that i attended towards end of the year. Year 2012 will be a year of happiness surrounded as well. I think it's the matter of age as my current age, many of my friends who has already found their partners are starting to settle down this year. Mm.. Truly is as i got 6 red bombs coming.

Wonder when will i have the chance to be the one giving out the red bomb instead. haha! I think i still has long way to go. But i going to tell myself to achieve my resolution on this brand new year!Make it happen and make it better...

Pamela Wedding @ Merchant Court Hotel

20th October is William and Pamela 'Big Day'. We can hear the wedding bells ringing, wishes from everyone for the newly wed couple. Their wedding was held at Merchant Court Hotel and during weekdays which is on Thursday night. So basically i rushed over after work.

Lotsa of wedding bells this year and it signal it's time for marriage at our age. So stressful when my relatives asking when is my turn.

It is also an opportunity for me to meet up with my ex colleagues. Glad to meet everyone and everyone is doing great which is good :) Time flies and i still remember i met the bride and found out that we shared the same birth date and month. Exactly the same! It is rare to find friends or colleagues who share the same birth date and month. We do shared similarity personality since we are Leo girl.

Beautifully hand-made cake and cupcakes displayed at the reception. It is done by the newly wed couple and the bride's mum. They have such elegant hands to come out with decorated icing sugar decoration. Totally awesome!

Each single hand made with love cupcake for limited guests only. I am one of them! So sweet of the bride, pamela to give us each one.I even went to ask her can i take one? She did not replied initially. But she got her ji mui to pass to us!

Our table that night. Each of us was given a door gift. I took the picture of my door gift below. It was a spoonful of love- spoon.

Below are the dishes on that night:-

Double Happiness- which is the cold dishes combination of roasted duck, top shell, jelly fish, vegetarian spring roll and shark fin's omelette. I love the roasted duck as the taste is awesome especially the skin taste crispy. Shark fin omelette taste good as well.

Shark fin with crabmeat soup

Roast Crispy Chicken with Rice Crackers. The dish is usually served with crackers so basically this is rare to go with the rice crackers. Though the taste still turn out delicious with the sauce done by the hotel.

Steamed Live Garoupa with soya sauce. The fish meat texture a bit hard. Quite disappointing though.

Stir fried prawns with celery with special sauce in Yam basket.

Braised shitake mushrooms with shredded conpony and seasonal vegetables.

Fried glutinous rice in lotus leaf. Taste fragrance and served in good condition.But at this stage, we are already full and cannot fill in our stomach anymore.

Cream of red bean with dumplings. I love the taste of the red bean. Strong taste and served hot. Splendid to mark the end of the wedding dinner.

Closer and clearer view of the cupcake. I had it for my breakfast the following day. It is a fruit cake. Not too sweet and just nice for tasting. I know it's beautiful and how can i be cruel to eat it? But i just can't help craving the taste of the cupcake...

Lee Ching- Christina Wedding

It has been a blissful september with wedding bells surrounded lately. Attended my uni mate's wedding at Kluang and had a reunion gathering with the rest of them. Some of us have not met for more than 5 years! Nevertheless our bonding remains unchanged. Everyone was shouting here and there when we met up. It reminds me of the old times. How i wish time can turn back...

Group photo of us. Everyone changed in terms of appearance and internal. But still friendship still remain unchanged. This is a good thing though.

Foods of the wedding lunch @ Kluang. The food served was delicious and fast. What i mean fast is really fast. Basically they served the second dish before we finish up the first one. We were rushing to finish it up. The wedding starts at 1.50pm and guess what? The wedding lunch ends at 3pm! The restaurant business is very good. They had 3 weddings concurrently held at this hour. The restaurant has the next session at 4pm. Thus it explains why they keep rushing us to finish up the foods.

Boon Leong served us the shark fin soup which taste really good.

This is quite special as we normally had breaded prawn with cereals. But this time round is chicken floss prawn. Not sure about the taste though but my friends feedback that it taste good as well.

Totally in love with the bun. It goes well with the pork and sauce. Tasty and thumbs up!

The last dessert come with mango and yam pudding.

With the bride. She is the most active and cheerful bride i ever met. She just be herself as usual even though during wedding lunch. She can just shout here and there and keep snapping non-stop.

Lunch ends early and our train ticket back sg was 7.25pm. Thus, we had a rest at boon leong's house before we back to reality. This is my first time taking train back to singapore. To my surprise the train arrive on time and no delay!

It was a smooth train ride back to singapore. It takes 2 hour from kluang to singapore and only stop few stops before we reach the destination.

It was tiring trip but full of laughter and fun. Hope to see everyone soon.
