Grand Serela Hotel & Stone Grill

Continue from my previous post of Bandung, so here I am posting my last post of my short Bandung trip.
We headed back to check-in hotel which took us 3 hours to reach the place.
The hotel that we stayed over the weekend is Grand Serela Hotel which is near to Yunita's wedding location.

Photos taken using my iPhone 4s so pardon for sharpness of the photos of the room:-

The lobby of the hotel which is link to the bar counter as well.
The hotel is boutique hotel style which has a comfortable room with affordable rates.

A photo taken during our breakfast.
The hotel served breakfast as well and are all local delicacies. They even served french fries for breakfast.

After we check-in the hotel, the driver recommended us a place for dinner which is approximately 20 minutes drive from our hotel.

The restaurant named Stone Grill Restaurant. The place has a great atmosphere and ambience as it is at the hill peak which able to view the overall view of the Bandung city. Too bad my iphone 4s quality is not that great unable to capture the beautiful scenery.

Mushroom soup in western style

Nasi kambing with eggs. Simple dish but filling..

Claypot noodles with vegetables

This is extremely yummy!!
Fresh Avocado Juice

Coffee Latte

Western foods- Beef Steak
The price is affordable and the taste is as par as the value of the price.

My choice and i think i made the right choice.
Indonesian food - Bebek Bakar Rp58 000.
Grilled Duck served with steam rice, chilli sauce, vegetables and anchovies chips.
The duck meat tender and smooth. It blends well with their chilli sauce. I realize Bandung chilli sauce is very delicious and spicy. So i just can't help to give a dip with the duck meat.

Dinner was great with good ambience and atmosphere. Loving the place and accesible by cars only. There are many people flocking the place for the atmosphere and the affordable foods.

After the dinner, we headed back to hotel to rest. We went to SPA the following day before we headed to Yunita's wedding. Yunita's wedding was beautiful and elegant. She is pretty and the husband is handsome. I ended my post with a photo with Yunita & husband and myself on her wedding day.

Panasonic x Omy.sg x Albert Court Village Hotel

It was a fruitful last weekend. I had the opportunity to attend the "Photos make your Blogs go Pop!" workshop organized by omy.sg at Albert Court Village Hotel. The boutique hotel comprises restored pre-war shophouses with Straits Chinese Cravings and motifs. The hotel is bounded by Short Street, Rochor Canal Road and Selegie Road. The strategic area of the hotel is surrounded with Singapore's culture  and commercially- vibrant areas. Located at the central hub of Singapore the location of the hotel is one of the accommodation choice for tourists. The bouttique hotel is located near the Art Musuem, National Library, art schools, Little India and also Bugis Village.

The 3 minute walk away Sim Lim Square is one of the advantage for tech gadgets lover as well. Shopping is a must in every list of tourists as well. Bugis Street is only 10 minutes walk away where you can find a collection of shops selling apparels, accessories and many more. Waterloo Street which is also known as mini Chinatown is also a walking distance away from the hotel.

As people always say, photo paints a thousand words.
Photos below are taken using Panasonic Lumix GF5 and no edit was made:-

That's how does the hotel ceiling looks like when you lift up your head and see...

Fresh orchids are displayed to bring colour and freshness of the hotel interior.

Snapshots of the hotel lobby area.

There is a bar counter opposite the reception counter of the hotel as well

The workshop was held at the meeting room and we were served refreshments before we set off for the photo taking session. The meeting room was nicely arranged and each table was served mineral water.

Thanks to Christine & Jerome for their sharing on how to take photo go POP! It's really true that photo can tell a story.Sometimes words are difficult to express with so it's better to let the photo do the talking for us.

After the refreshment and briefing session, we are prepared for a tour to Little India with our sponsored loan camera to do the snapping and capturing the moments.

Photos taken just right outside the hotel with one of the feature : expression art filter
Love the brightness and colour filter output of the snaps.

Nevertheless, I uploaded some of the photos that i quite satisfied with it here.
Do feel free to comment on the photos.

Sometimes i wish i can be like the bird to be able to fly and soar the sky...

The whole session was great. Everyone is snapping away with the Lumix camera during the photo taking and trying out the features of the camera. It was a user- friendly camera and everyone is able to snap without worries. I personally love the expression art filter, one-point colour filter and also the iA+ feature. I love the colour output of the photo.

The workshop ended with a nice cup of cocktail served by the hotel. It comes just in time after our 1 hour photo session out of the hotel.

Once again, thanks to Albert Court Village Hotel for the servings and panasonic with omy for organizing the event.
