The Dark Knight Rises Movie Screening X Domino's X Omy

Thanks for Omy & Domino's for the movie screening night on Friday night. 

It was a pleasant treat to bring along a partner for the movie screening so i invited Jacqueline along. The registration starts at 7.30pm and we got our movie tickets and off for a quick bite.

We headed to the cinema approximately 8.45pm and the movie starts at 9pm. It's the collaboration between the Domino's Pizza with The Dark Knight Rises. Domino's is extending the movie treat to bloggers and pizza fans. In conjunction for this movie, fans were able to get their hands on the specially commissioned Limited Edition The Dark Knight Rises glass with a purchase of The Dark Knight meal.

We were lucky enough to be given the limited edition of The Dark Knight Rises glass and also the posters of the main actors and actress. 

Before the movie starts, Domino's representative gave us an appreciation speech. We were given a FOC one regular pizza voucher as a token of appreciation as well.

The movie lasts for 2 hours and 30 minutes and our movie is ended at 12.00am. 

It was a nice movie and worth while to watch. Christian Bale is very manly and played the role very well. He displayed the never say die determination to save the city of Gotham and i personally think the story is well written and played.

Synopsis of the movie  (Taken from yahoo movies) :-

With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent, Batman sets out to destroy organized crime in Gotham for good. The triumvirate proves to be effective but they soon find themselves prey to a rising criminal mastermind known as the Joker, who thrusts Gotham into anarchy and forces the Dark Knight ever closer to crossing the line between hero and vigilante.

When Will Salas is falsely accused of murder, he must figure out a way to bring down a system where time is money – literally – enabling the wealthy to live forever while the poor, like Will, have to beg, borrow, and steal enough minutes to make it through another day. He embarks on a journey that will forever change him, his beautiful accomplice and the world around them.

It has been a long time since i last watched movie. The story line for this movie is not bad. It is also reflects that time is money. Can you imagine if we only left one day to live, what will you do? How will u use your time then? In this story, rich/ wealthy people will live forever and poor will get poorer and unable to live long enough. This reflects the reality in our life that. Rich people getting richer and poor remain unchanged. It's like if you give a lump sum money to the rich ones, they will do something to generate more of the amount given. That's explains the concept here in certain perspective.Don't you think so? This is my personal point of view. It's worth watching and can feel the excitement of the fiction story as it played.

127 Hours

It has been long time since i last watched movie.I watched "127 Hours" movie and it's a motivation movie.There's only one word to describe my thoughts we must live life to the fullest.You'll never know what will happen in next day or even next minute.

The movie is based on a true story about the engineer Aron Ralston who’s passion for mountain climbing led to an unfortunate accident in Bluejohn Canyon. The title giving 127 hours is the time he spent in a canyon with his arm crushed between the canyon wall and a big rock.

Along the movie, you see how Aaron Ralston live his life, how regret he was for ignoring calls from his mum, how he treated his family members and more. He fought and struggle to live with all his means and ways and at last he cut his arm to escape from the rock that crashed his arm and trap him in the Blue John canyon.

After managed to escape from the rock with the injured hand,he still struggle very hard to survive and get help.Really admire his spirit of never give up and determination is very strong. The will of staying alive is very strong whereby not everyone can do it.

He however managed to prove to us that everthing can be done with the determination and spirit of never ever thought of give up even though it seems to be no way. Worth watching it and understand the true meaning of the story.

Mama Mia

Planning to watch the movie for several times but failed. Hope today attempt will be my final. Gonna knock off sharp to catch the 7plus movie at orchard with my colleague (HL).
